Charlie Brown Jr. Discography
The discography of Charlie Brown Jr. consists of ten studio albums, six video albums, three live albums, one extended play, one compilation and one demo tape. The band was formed in Santos, São Paulo in 1992 by members of What's Up, a former project of vocalist Chorão that, by the time of its demise, already had in its line-up bassist Champignon, guitarists Marcão Britto and Thiago Castanho, and drummer Renato Pelado. In 1994 they released their first demo and Champignon sent it to record producer Tadeu Patolla, who in his turn showed it to his friend Rick Bonadio; Bonadio then secured the band a contract with Virgin Records and their debut, '' Transpiração Contínua Prolongada'', came out in 1997. Castanho left the band in 2001, after the release of their third album ''Nadando com os Tubarões'', and they continued as a quartet until '' Tamo Aí na Atividade'', when a series of creative divergences prompted the departure of its entire line-up. ''Chegou Quem Faltava'' (Portuguese for "''Who Was Missing Has Arrived''") is the third live album by Brazilian alternative rock band Charlie Brown Jr. Their first posthumous album since 2013's ''La Familia 013'', it was released on July 13, 2021 through Sony Music, their first album on the label since 2009's '' Camisa 10 Joga Bola Até na Chuva''. The album was originally recorded during a gig at Citibank Hall in São Paulo on March 19, 2011 and was scheduled for a CD and DVD release later that year, but due to line-up changes (the departure of Heitor Gomes and return of Champignon and Marcão Britto) in the middle of that year, it was scrapped and the band left Sony to sign with Radar Records and release ''Música Popular Caiçara'' the following year. ''La Familia 013'' (Spanish for "''The 013 Family''") is the tenth and final studio album by Brazilian alternative rock band Charlie Brown Jr. After a series of delays caused by the death of vocalist Chorão and the suicide of bassist Champignon, it was released posthumously through Som Livre on October 8, 2013. The "013" in its title is a reference to the area code of the city of Santos, where the band hails from. The album was positively received upon its release, with many calling it an "appropriate swan song" for the band. Alexandre Abrão, Chorão's son, called it " isfather's most autobiographical album", and the band's manager, Samantha Pereira de Jesus, said that it would be "Chorão's lifelong legacy". Bruno César Bezerra (born December 8, 1982), better known by his stage name Bruno Graveto, is a Brazilian drummer popular for his work with bands Charlie Brown Jr., A Banca and Strike. Biography Bruno César Bezerra was born in Santos, São Paulo on December 8, 1982. He learned how to play the drums when he was 12 years old, and began playing in his first amateur bands around that time; through one of those, Fusion, he met his future Charlie Brown Jr. bandmate Heitor Gomes. By the time he was invited to join Charlie Brown Jr. in 2008, replacing André Pinguim as drummer, he had previously played with bands and artists such as Luccas Trevisani, Pipeline and O Surto. André Luís "Pinguim" Ruas (born January 29, 1975) is a Brazilian drummer and beatboxer primarily known for his tenure with famous alternative rock band Charlie Brown Jr. from 2005 to 2008. Biography André Luís Ruas was born in Santos, São Paulo on January 29, 1975. His stage name, "Pinguim" (Portuguese for "penguin"), comes from a childhood nickname owing to a T-shirt with a penguin drawing on it he constantly wore; his friends used to joke that he was very similar in physical appearance to the aforementioned penguin, and so the name stuck.
