Charles Crawford (United States Army Officer)
Charles Crawford (27 December 1866 – 28 December 1945) was a United States Army officer and an author. He served in the Spanish–American War, the Philippines and World War I. Early life and education Crawford was born in Coshocton, Ohio to Thomas Crawford and Margaret Parkhill. In 1889, Crawford graduated from the United States Military Academy, where he was a classmate of future army general Charles Dudley Rhodes. Later, he graduated from the Army War College in 1912. Military career Crawford served as a second lieutenant in the 10th Infantry on the United States frontier between 1889–1895, which included military police duty in Oklahoma City until 1890 and assisting the U.S. Commission in dealings with American Indian tribes; between 1891–1892 he organized an Apache Indian Company in the 10th Infantry. Coshocton, Ohio
Coshocton is a city in and the county seat of Coshocton County, Ohio, United States approximately 63 mi (102 km) ENE of Columbus. The population was 11,216 at the 2010 census. The Walhonding River and the Tuscarawas River meet in Coshocton to form the Muskingum River. Coshocton contains Roscoe Village, a restored town of the canal era, located next to the former Ohio and Erie Canal. A heritage tourist attraction, it showcases the area's unique canal history. Panama Canal Zone
The Panama Canal Zone ( es, Zona del Canal de Panamá), also simply known as the Canal Zone, was an unincorporated territory of the United States, located in the Isthmus of Panama, that existed from 1903 to 1979. It was located within the territory of Panama, consisting of the Panama Canal and an area generally extending on each side of the centerline, but excluding Panama City and Colón. Its capital was Balboa. The Panama Canal Zone was created on November 18, 1903 from the territory of Panama; established with the signing of the Hay–Bunau-Varilla Treaty, which allowed for the construction of the Panama Canal within the territory by the United States. Presbyterianism is a part of the Reformed tradition within Protestantism that broke from the Roman Catholic Church in Scotland by John Knox, who was a priest at St. Giles Cathedral (Church of Scotland). Paola, Kansas
Paola is a city in and the county seat of Miami County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 5,768. History Native Americans, then Spanish explorers such as Francisco Vásquez de Coronado in 1541, and French missionary explorers in 1673 lived and traveled throughout the area of what is now Paola. Despite these early European incursions at the start of the 19th century, the area was largely controlled by the Osage people. Settlement of the area primarily occurred, however, when Kaskaskia, Peoria, Wea, and Piankeshaw tribes were forced to move to the area between 1827 and 1832.
