Champlain (provincial Electoral District)
Champlain is a provincial electoral riding in the Mauricie region of Quebec, Canada, which elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It notably includes the eastern portions of the city of Trois-Rivières as well as Saint-Tite, Saint-Maurice and Sainte-Thècle. Its boundaries have remained the same since the 1973 election. However, the boundaries changed for the 2018 election as it gained Hérouxville, Lac-aux-Sables, Notre-Dame-de-Montauban, Saint-Adelphe, Sainte-Thècle, Saint-Séverin and Saint-Tite from Laviolette. It is named after the founder of Quebec City in 1608, Samuel de Champlain. Saint-Tite
Saint-Tite is a town in the province of Quebec, Canada, north of Trois-Rivières, in the Mékinac Regional County Municipality (RCM) and in the Mauricie administrative region. In the 19th Century, the Batiscanie economy was mainly founded on forestry and agriculture. With many small businesses, Saint-Tite expanded through the production of leather goods and various types of shops. The 1867 Quebec general election was held in August and September 1867 to elect members of the First Legislature for the Province of Quebec, Canada. The Quebec Conservative Party, led by Premier Pierre-Joseph-Olivier Chauveau, defeated the Quebec Liberal Party led by Henri-Gustave Joly de Lotbinière. Laviolette (provincial Electoral District)
Laviolette was a provincial electoral district in the Mauricie region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It includes the city of La Tuque and its urban agglomeration, some parts of the city of Shawinigan, and various other municipalities. It was created for the 1931 election from part of Champlain electoral district. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, it gained Lac-aux-Sables and Notre-Dame-de-Montauban from Portneuf electoral district. Following the change in the 2017 electoral map, the riding was dissolved into the new ridings of Laviolette–Saint-Maurice and Champlain. Saint-Séverin (also called St-Séverin-de-Proulxville or simply Proulxville) is a parish municipality in Quebec (Canada) in the Mékinac Regional County Municipality, Quebec, in the administrative region of Mauricie and watershed the Batiscanie. Saint-Adelphe
Saint-Adelphe () is a Parish municipality of Quebec, Canada, located in the Mékinac Regional County Municipality, in the Batiscanie area (except watershed Charest river, located in the East) and in the administrative region of Mauricie. The territory of the municipality was part of the lordship of Sainte-Anne which was owned by Mr. John Hale, and Mr. Price. The magnificent Batiscan river in the north-south bisects the town. The main village developed on the east side of the river. In the story, on the west bank a small village formed around covered bridges spanning the Batiscan River and Pierre-Paul River. Notre-Dame-de-Montauban
Notre-Dame-de-Montauban is a municipality in the Mauricie region in Quebec, Canada. The municipality is on the northern edge of Mékinac Regional County Municipality and the administrative region of Mauricie and includes the population centres of Notre-Dame-des-Anges and Montauban-les-Mines. Lac-aux-Sables is a parish municipality in the Mékinac Regional County Municipality (MRC de Mékinac), in administrative district of the Mauricie region of the province of Quebec in Canada.
