Castile or Castille (; ) is a territory of imprecise limits located in Spain. The invention of the concept of Castile relies on the assimilation (via a metonymy) of a 19th-century determinist geographical notion, that of Castile as Spain's ("tableland core", connected to the Meseta Central) with a long-gone historical entity of diachronically variable territorial extension (the Kingdom of Castile). ''Castilla'' (sometimes incorrectly spelled ''Castilloa'') is a genus of 3 species of large trees in the family Moraceae, native to Central and South America. Etymology This genus is named after Juan Diego del Castillo (d. 1793), a Spanish botanist who was a friend of Vicente Cervantes, who chose the name in his friend's honor. Description ''Castilla'' species are monoecious or dioecious trees up to 40 meters tall, with buttressed trunks and abundant white latex of commercial value. The branchlets have scars left by the fallen stipules. The leaves are oblong to elliptic, with entire margins. The inflorescences are surrounded by bracts and have small flowers. The male flowers are borne in lengthwise-folded kidney-shaped inflorescences and female flowers in globose inflorescences. The infrutescence varies in shape and has orange or red fruits. German submarine ''U-107'' was a Type IXB U-boat of Nazi Germany's ''Kriegsmarine'' that operated during World War II. Between January 1941 and August 1944, she sailed on 13 active patrols at a time when a U-boat averaged a lifespan of seven to ten patrols. Phantom Brave
is a tactical role-playing game for the PlayStation 2 video game console, developed and published by Nippon Ichi Software. It was released on January 22, 2004 in Japan, on August 31, 2004 in North America and on February 4, 2005 in Europe. The North American release was the first game published by NIS America. The game shipped in two "editions"—Normal and Special—the Special edition coming with a free soundtrack and shortened instruction manual. An expanded remake for the Wii console, titled ''Phantom Brave: We Meet Again'', was released on March 12, 2009 in Japan. A North American release by NIS America was originally set for June, but was delayed to August 14 to include dual audio and as a result of manufacturing issues. The Castiles
The Castiles were a Freehold, New Jersey-based rock and roll band that featured vocalist/guitarist/harmonica player Bruce Springsteen, and was formed by guitarist/vocalist George Theiss, with various lineups during its existence. They recorded two songs, and performed throughout New Jersey and New York before disbanding in 1968. Springsteen went on to a successful recording and touring career, while Theiss was in various New Jersey bands, none that earned notoriety. Theiss died on July 13, 2018. History In 1964, Theiss saw The Beatles perform on The Ed Sullivan Show, and decided to form a band called The Castiles, named after the shampoo brand he was using at the time. He was romantically interested in Springsteen's sister, Virginia, and when Theiss would go to her house, her brother was playing guitar.
