Cartoon Network is a pan-Asian pay television channel that primarily broadcasts animated series. Operated by Warner Bros. Discovery under its International division, the channel is broadcast from its headquarters in Singapore and Jakarta, Jakarta, Indonesia to audiences in its country of location, as well as to Hong Kong and several areas in the Asian continent. Boomerang (Asian TV Channel)
Boomerang is a pan-Asian cable and satellite television channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery under its International division. Like the original US version, this localization first began as a programming block that aired on Cartoon Network Asia (from 2001 to 2005), before becoming its own channel in 2004. On 1 December 2012, the channel was shut down and replaced with Toonami Asia. Eventually, the channel was relaunched on 1 January 2015 as part of Boomerang's 2014–15 global rebranding effort, replacing Cartoonito Asia. As of 15 December 2020, Boomerang and Nick Jr. is currently available on Astro, Malaysian satellite TV provider replacing Disney Channel and Disney Junior which ceased transmission on 1 January 2021. Turner Classic Movies was an Asian digital classic film channel featuring commercial-free classic movies, mostly from the Turner Entertainment and Warner Bros. film libraries, which include many MGM titles. Agila-1 or Mabuhay was launched on March 20, 1987, under the name Palapa B2-P in Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
