The Twelfth Government of the Republic of Croatia ( hr, Dvanaesta Vlada Republike Hrvatske) was the Croatian Government cabinet led by Prime Minister Zoran Milanović. It was in office from 23 December 2011 until 22 January 2016. It was formed following the November 2011 election won by the centre-left Kukuriku coalition. By taking office at the age of 45, Zoran Milanović became the second-youngest Prime Minister since Croatia's independence. In addition, his cabinet was also the youngest cabinet in the same period, with an average age of 48. It was surpassed by the succeeding cabinet of Tihomir Orešković, with an average age of 46. Zoran Milanović
Zoran Milanović (; born 30 October 1966) is a Croatian politician serving as President of Croatia since 19 February 2020. Prior to assuming the presidency, he was prime minister from 2011 to 2016 and president of the Social Democratic Party from 2007 to 2016. After graduating from the Zagreb Faculty of Law, Milanović started working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He served as Advisor at the Croatian mission to the European Union and NATO in Brussels from 1996 to 1999. During the same year he joined the Social Democratic Party. In 1998 he earned his master's degree in European Union law at the Free University Brussels and was an assistant to the Croatian foreign minister for political multilateral affairs in 2003. The Thirteenth Government of the Republic of Croatia ( hr, Trinaesta Vlada Republike Hrvatske) was the Croatian Government cabinet led by Prime Minister Tihomir Orešković. It was the government cabinet of Croatia between 22 January until 19 October 2016. It was formed following the 2015 election. The negotiation process leading to its formation was the longest in Croatian history, totaling at a record 76 days. On 16 June 2016, Orešković's government lost a motion of no confidence in the Parliament with 125 MPs voting for, 15 against and 2 abstaining. As a result, the Orešković cabinet served in an acting capacity until a new government took office after the 2016 election. Branko Grčić
Branko Grčić (born 16 April 1964) is a Croatian politician and economist. In 1987 he graduated on the Faculty of Economics in the University of Split. He got his master's degree in economics in 1990 and received a Doctorate on the same university in 1996. Since 2005 he had been a regular professor and later became Dean of the Faculty of Economics in Split. He has published over 60 scientific works focusing on macroeconomics and regional economics. Neven Mimica
Neven Mimica (; born 12 October 1953) is a Croatian politician and diplomat who has been serving as European Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development in the Juncker Commission since 1 November 2014. He was previously the European Commissioner for Consumer Protection in the Second Barroso Commission from July 2013 until November 2014 and was in that regard the first European Union Commissioner from Croatia following its accession to the European Union. Prior to his role in the European Union, Mimica also held a number of governmental posts in Croatia. Namely, he served as the 3rd Minister of European Integration from 2001 until 2003, in both the first and second cabinets of the Social Democratic Prime Minister Ivica Račan. Ivica Račan
Ivica Račan (; 24 February 1944 – 29 April 2007) was a Croatian politician who served as Prime Minister of Croatia from 2000 to 2003, heading two centre-left coalition governments. Račan became the first prime minister of Croatia not to be a member of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), namely the opposition coalition headed by his Social Democratic Party (SDP) won the 2000 parliamentary election and came to power for the first time since independence. Tihomir Orešković (politician)
Tihomir "Tim" Orešković (; born 1 January 1966) is a Croatian Canadian businessman who was Prime Minister of Croatia from January to October 2016. Born in Zagreb, Orešković emigrated to Canada at a young age and spent most of his life there. He studied at McMaster University and graduated with a B.Sc. in chemistry in 1989 and an MBA in finance and information systems in 1991. Kukuriku Coalition
The Restart Coalition ( hr, Restart koalicija) is a centre-left political alliance in Croatia. The coalition was formed in 2010 as the Kukuriku Coalition (''Kukuriku koalicija''). This somewhat facetious name meaning 'cock-a-doodle-doo', taken from a restaurant of the same name in Kastav where the coalition leaders first convened in July 2009, became well known and was eventually taken as the coalition's official name.
