YTV (Canadian TV Channel)
YTV (stylized as УTV) is a Television in Canada, Canadian English language Discretionary service, discretionary specialty channel owned by YTV Canada, Inc. a subsidiary of Corus Entertainment. The channel and its programming is targeted at children and young teenagers. Its name was originally thought to be an abbreviation for "Youth Television", though the channel's website has denied this. The channel was launched on September 1, 1988 by owners Rogers Media and CUC Broadcasting upon launch. In 1995, Shaw Communications acquired CUC's 34% stake and in 1998, it acquired Rogers' remaining interest of the channel, before Shaw's media division was spun off to form Corus Entertainment in 1999. YTV (Burmese TV Network)
YTV is a Burmese digital Free-to-Air TV channel that run under MRTV's Multiplex Playout System based in Yangon, Myanmar. YTV is operated by MY Multimedia Co., Ltd that part of Young Investment Group Co., Ltd. They have signed a cooperation agreement with MRTV to operate as content providers for digital free-to-air TV channels in a multi-playout system of MRTV. The trial was broadcast on 14 January 2019. On 14 February, they launched the channel officially. The channel broadcasts 24 hours a day now. History The co-operation agreement between Union of Myanmar, was on 17 February 2018. YTV (Botswanan TV Channel)
YTV is a Botswanan commercial television channel. The channel broadcasts general entertainment content. Throughout much of its life the channel was owned by foreigners, from launch to 2004 and again from 2007 to 2018. History The channel started broadcasting in 1988 as Gaborone Broadcasting Company (GBC), which in its beginnings was a small viewers' association paid by fees from a limited number of its viewers. There was much reluctance in its early years, especially due to its proximity with South Africa and the ease of receiving signals from that country. Up until the early 2000s, GBC was a closed-circuit television station with coverage limited exclusively to Gaborone. Entertainment content made up much of its offer, yet it also screened educational content, both foreign and national, the latter of which in accordance with the Botswanan Ministry of Education. The Helsinki Metropolitan Area Council (, ) was a co-operation agency operating in the Helsinki metropolitan area, now replaced by HSL and HSY. The organisation had a few responsibilities, most notably regional public transport and waste management. It was subordinated to the city councils of the four participating cities (Helsinki, Vantaa, Espoo and Kauniainen).
