Xiaomi
Xiaomi (; ) is a Chinese multinational corporation and technology company headquartered in Beijing, China. It is best known for consumer electronics software electric vehicles. It is the second-largest manufacturer of smartphones in the world, behind Samsung, most of which run on the Xiaomi HyperOS (former MIUI) operating system. The company is ranked 338th and is the youngest company on the ''Fortune'' Global 500. It has been called the "Apple of China". Xiaomi was founded in 2010 in Beijing by Lei Jun along with six associates. Lei had founded Kingsoft as well as Joyo.com, the latter of which he sold to Amazon for $75 million in 2004. In August 2011, Xiaomi released its first smartphone and, by 2014, it had the largest market share of smartphones sold in China. MIUI
MIUI is a deprecated mobile operating system by Xiaomi for its smartphones and devices, from 2010 to 2023, prior to the launch of its successor Xiaomi HyperOS. MIUI was Fork (software development), based on the Android (operating system), Android Open Source Project, and served as the basis for other OS deviations by Xiaomi: MIUI for Poco (company), Poco, MIUI Pad, MIUI Watch, and MIUI TV (PatchWall). There are different versions for each Xiaomi phone model, and each version has regional variants dependent on where the phone is sold, including China, Europe, Indonesia, India, Japan, Pakistan, Russia, Taiwan and Turkey. Redmi (stylized in all caps) is a subsidiary brand owned by the Chinese electronics company Xiaomi. Lin Bin
Lin Bin (born 1961) is a Chinese-American billionaire entrepreneur, co-founder and vice chairman of Xiaomi. Lin studied Electrical Engineering graduating from the radio electronics department of the Sun Yat-sen University.
