Derna waterfalls () is a fresh-water waterfall in the Jebel Akhdar Mountains, south of the city of Derna, in the northern Cyrenaica region of eastern Libya. Maletsunyane Falls is a waterfall in the Southern African country Lesotho. It is located near the town of Semonkong (''Site of smoke''), which is also named after the falls. The waterfall is on the Maletsunyane River and it falls from a ledge of Triassic-Jurassic basalt. Thomson's Falls is a waterfall on the Ewaso Ng'iro River in Central Rift Valley Kenya, a few kilometres from Lake Ol Bolossat, which drains from the Aberdare Range. It is situated from the town of Nyahururu, at elevation. In 1883, Joseph Thomson (explorer), Joseph Thomson was the first European to reach waterfall and named it for his father. Thomson wrote: Thomson was a Scotland, Scottish geologist and naturalist who became the first European to walk from Mombasa to Lake Victoria in the early 1880s. Karuru Falls
Karuri is a town in Kiambu County. The town hosts a town council. The Council borders the city of Nairobi to the south for about 20 km from Nairobi City, Kikuyu Town Council to the west, Limuru Municipal Council to the north and Kiambu Municipal Council to the east. It covers an area of 46 km2. with a population of 194,342 (2019 census). The council's main town, Karuri, was established as a meeting centre in the pre-colonial era where Kikuyu paramount chiefs would meet for deliberations.
