Yliopistonkatu (; ; literally "University Street") is a 1,5-kilometer-long street located in the city center of Turku, Finland, running parallel to the Aura River (Finland), Aura River, starting at Kutomonkatu and ending at Koulukatu. Minna Arve
Minna Arve (born 1974) is a Finnish politician who serves as the mayor of Turku. Since August 2021 the post of the mayor became an elected office instead of a hired position. She represents the National Coalition Party. Education Arve first studied to become a nurse and graduated in 1996. Aura River (Finland)
The Aura River ( Finnish ''Aurajoki'' ; Swedish ''Aura å'') is a river in south-western Finland. It originates in Oripää, and it flows through Pöytyä, Aura, Lieto, and ultimately the city of Turku before discharging into the Archipelago Sea. The waters of the Aura river are brown. The total length of the river is about , and it contains eleven rapids, the biggest of which is Nautelankoski at Lieto. The reserve tap water for Turku Region is drawn from the Aura, the city's secondary waterworks being situated by the Halinen rapids. The word "Aura" appears to come from an archaic Swedish word for waterway (''aathra'', which is still current in the form ''ådra''), but in Finnish it translates as "plough," a name the river lives up to.
