Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) is a student organization in India, registered as a Non-governmental organization (NGO) in 1949. It's a significant student union with over 5 million members, making it one of the largest student organizations in the world. ABVP is a student wing of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a right-wing Hindutva paramilitary organisation. History The ABVP, founded in 1948 with the initiative of the RSS activist Balraj Madhok, was formally registered on 9 July 1949. Its purpose when founded was to counter communist influence on university campuses. Yashwantrao Kelkar, a lecturer in Bombay, became its main organiser in 1958. According to the ABVP website, he built the organisation into what it is now and is considered to be 'the real architect of the ABVP'. Naga Students' Federation
The Naga Students' Federation (NSF; ) is the largest representative body for students of the Naga people. It was established on 29 October 1947. History On 7 May 1947, student leaders from Angami, Ao, Lotha, Sümi gathered at Kohima and decided to have the inaugural session of the Naga Students' Federation on 17 May 1947. However, the proposed meeting could only be held from 29 to 30 October 1947 whereby NSF came into being under the Chairmanship of Z. Ahu. The second session of the Naga Students' Federation was held in Mokokchung from 13 to 15 October 1948. However, after the second session the NSF went defunct for 17 years due to the rising Naga political crisis and the imposition of Army Rule in the Naga Hills. The NSF became fully functional only in 1971. Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee is the state unit of the Indian National Congress in Kerala. Kerala Students Union
The Kerala Students Union (abbreviated KSU) is the largest students organization in Kerala, India. It functions as the student wing of the INC. Organisation have strong ideology of Indian National Congress party. KSU was founded in 1957 at Alappuzha, with M. A. John as its main organiser and Vayalar Ravi founding general secretary. The original group consisted of M. A. John, Vayalar Ravi, George Tharakan and A. A. Samad. It functioned as the student wing of the Pradesh Congress Committee. While Ravi was the President, KSU took a leading role in the opposition campaign against the communist state government. KSU sought to challenge the near-monopoly of the communist-led AISF over campus politics at the time. Jannayak Janata Party
The Jannayak Janta Party, abbreviated as, JJP is an Indian state-level political party in Haryana, India. JJP is a recognized state political party. JJP was founded on 9 December 2018 by Dushyant Chautala with the ideology of Devi Lal, who served as Deputy Prime Minister of India. Formation JJP emerged from a split in the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) which itself had been cause by infighting among the Chautala family. An INLD rally at Gohana in October 2018 had seen heckling of Abhay Chautala, a son of INLD leader Om Prakash Chautala for which Dushyant Chautala, a grandson, and his younger brother, Digvijay Chautala, were blamed. Welfare Party Of India
Welfare Party of India is an Indian Political party of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. Its first National President was Mujtaba Farooq, and other key leaders were Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas, Ilyas Azmi, Zafarul Islam Khan, Maulana Abdul Wahab Khilji and Lalita Naik. Fraternity Movement
The Fraternity Movement is a student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind's WPI. The slogan of the movement is "Democracy, Social Justice and Fraternity". In 2017, Fraternity made its foray into politics by winning a seat in the college students council of the Maharaja's College in Ernakulam. Fraternity Movement candidate Afreen Fatima won the student union elections of Jawaharlal Nehru University as a councillor in 2019. During the Anti-Citizenship protests that sparked India in December 2019, Fraternity Movement blocked the Calicut international airport.
