SheBelieves Cup
The SheBelieves Cup is an invitational women's association football, women's soccer tournament held in different cities in the United States in late February or early March. In its first three years (2016, 2017, and 2018), it was contested by the same four teams: the United States women's national soccer team, United States, England women's national football team, England, France women's national football team, France, and Germany women's national football team, Germany. Since 2019, the tournament lineup has featured different teams each year. The SheBelieves cup is played at the same time of year as the Algarve Cup, the Arnold Clark Cup, the Cup of Nations (Australia), Cup of Nations, the Cyprus Women's Cup, the Istria Cup, the Pinatar Cup, the Tournoi de France (women's football), Tournoi de France, the Turkish Women's Cup and the Women's Revelations Cup. 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup
The 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup was the seventh FIFA Women's World Cup, the quadrennial international soccer championship contested by the women's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The tournament was hosted by Canada for the first time and by a North American country for the third time. Matches were played in six cities across Canada in five time zones. The tournament began on 6 June 2015, and finished with the final on 5 July 2015 with a United States victory over Japan. The 2015 tournament saw the World Cup expanded to 24 teams from 16 in 2011. 2020 SheBelieves Cup
The 2020 SheBelieves Cup was the fifth edition of the SheBelieves Cup, an invitational women's soccer tournament held in the United States. Featuring national teams from Spain, England, Japan, and hosts United States, it began on March 5 and ended on March 11, 2020, making it the last soccer tournament in the United States to be completed before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down all professional sports in the country. Apart from host United States, England were the only other team to have featured in every tournament, but this is the last time they have featured to date. 2020 was Japan's second appearance following their debut in 2019, while it was the first time Spain had taken part. The 2019 SheBelieves Cup was the fourth edition of the SheBelieves Cup, an invitational women's soccer tournament held in the United States. Featuring national teams from Brazil, England, Japan, and hosts United States, it began on February 27 and ended on March 5, 2019. Having kept the same four teams in the first three editions, 2019 was the first time that France and Germany had not taken part. They were instead replaced by Japan and Brazil, the first time teams from either the AFC or CONMEBOL had taken part. The United States were the defending champions. It took place between March 1 and 7, 2017. The four teams were ranked No. 1, 2, 3, and 5 in the FIFA Women's World rankings, thus making the tournament the most important friendly Cup of the year. Goal Difference
Goal difference, goal differential or points difference is a form of tiebreaker used to rank sport teams which finish on equal points in a league competition. Either "goal difference" or "points difference" is used, depending on whether matches are scored by goals (as in ice hockey and association football) or by points (as in rugby union and basketball). Goal difference is calculated as the number of goals scored in all league matches minus the number of goals conceded, and is sometimes known simply as plus–minus. Goal difference was first introduced as a tiebreaker in association football, at the 1970 FIFA World Cup, and was adopted by the Football League in England five years later. Engelbert (born November 14, 1964) is an American administrator, accountant, and businesswoman who has been the commissioner of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) since 2019. Danielle Victoria Slaton (born June 10, 1980) is an American retired professional soccer player. She is currently a soccer analyst for MLS Season Pass, Fox Sports and the Pac-12 Network.
