Phyllodactylus
''Phyllodactylus'' is a genus of geckos distributed in South America and Central America, and as far north as the southern United States. They are commonly known as " leaf-toed geckos" in their native range, and otherwise as American leaf-toed geckos to distinguish them from unrelated genera with similar feet. Phyllodactylus Xanti
''Phyllodactylus xanti'' is a species of lizard in the Family (biology), family Phyllodactylidae. It is endemic to northwestern Mexico. It is also known as the leaf-toed gecko (leaf-toed gecko, among many other species) or Raza Island leaf-toed gecko when referring to the subspecies from the Isla Rasa; at present, there are altogether four recognized subspecies, while several more have been recognized previously. Geographic range ''P. xanti'' is found in the Baja California Peninsula and associated islands in Mexico. Records from southern California (USA) refer to ''Phyllodactylus nocticolus'', first described as ''Phyllodactylus xanti nocticolus'', now considered a distinct species. The Guerreran leaf-toed gecko (''Phyllodactylus bordai''), also known commonly as the desert leaf-toed gecko and the ''salamanquesa de Guerrero'' in Spanish, is a species of lizard in the family Phyllodactylidae. The species is endemic to Mexico. Phyllodactylus Angustidigitus
The narrow leaf-toed gecko (''Phyllodactylus angustidigitus'') is a medium-sized gecko with a maximum snout-vent length of 57 mm. This species is endemic from the Ica Region in southern Peru, and its known geographical distribution is restricted to the Paracas National Reservation, including two islands (La Vieja in the Bahia Independencia and Sangayan west of the Paracas Peninsula). This gecko most closely resembles '' Phyllodactylus gerrhopygus'' (a species that also occurs in southern Peru), from which it can be distinguished by smaller and more numerous terminal lamellae on the fourth toe.
