Nadwatul Musannifeen
Nadwatul Musannifeen ( en, Council of Writers) was an academic research institution and publishing house in Delhi. The institution was co-founded by scholars including Atiqur Rahman Usmani, Hamid al-Ansari Ghazi, Hifzur Rahman Seoharwi and Saeed Ahmad Akbarabadi in 1938. History Nadwatul Musannifeen was established by Atiqur Rahman Usmani, Hamid al-Ansari Ghazi, Hifzur Rahman Seoharwi and Saeed Ahmad Akbarabadi in 1938. Originally set up in Karol Bagh, the institution suffered losses during 1947 riots. It was moved to nearby Jama Masjid, Delhi post the Partition of India by Atiqur Rahman Usmani. The institution has published books on issues related to religion, history, culture and theology. The institution published ''Burhan'', a magazine that is regarded as the best Islamiyat magazine after the ''Al-Ma'ārif'' of Shibli Academy. Atiqur Rahman Usmani
Atīqur Rahmān Usmānī (1901 – 12 May 1984) was an Indian Muslim scholar and an activist of Indian independence movement who co-founded Nadwatul Musannifeen and the All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat. Usmānī was an alumnus of the Darul Uloom Deoband. He taught at Deoband seminary and the Jamia Islamia Talimuddin in Dabhel. He served as the president of All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat. Biography Atiqur Rahman Usmānī was born in 1901 in Deoband. His father Azizur Rahman Usmani was the Grand Mufti of Darul Uloom Deoband. He graduated from Darul Uloom Deoband where he studied under Anwar Shah Kashmiri. Usmānī began teaching at the Darul Uloom Deoband and practiced "fatwa" under the supervision of his father and later became the deputy-Mufti. He then briefly taught at the Jamia Islamia Talimuddin. Jamia Millia Islamia
Jamia Millia Islamia () is a central university located in New Delhi, India. Originally established at Aligarh, United Provinces (present-day Uttar Pradesh, India) during the British Raj in 1920, it moved to its current location in Okhla in 1935. It was given the deemed status by University Grants Commission in 1962. On 26 December 1988, it became a central university. The foundation committee of the university included Abdul Bari Firangi Mahali, Hussain Ahmad Madani, Muhammad Iqbal, Sanaullah Amritsari, Syed Mehmood and others. Zayn al-Abidin Sajjad Meerthi (also written as Qazi Zainul Abideen Sajjad Meerthi) (1910–1991) was an Indian Sunni Muslim scholar and historian and head of the Islamic studies department of Jamia Millia Islamia. His book ''Tarikh-e-Millat'' is required reading in the syllabus of Darul Uloom Deoband and in madrasas affiliated with it. Biography Zayn al-Abidin Sajjad Meerthi was born in 1910 in Meerut, United Provinces of British India. He was schooled at Darul Uloom Meerut and Madrasa Imdad al-Islam in Meerut. Muhammad Taqi Amini
Muhammad Taqi Amīni ( 5 May 1926 – 21 January 1991) was an Indian Sunni Islamic scholar, jurist, Urdu author and the dean of Theology faculty of Aligarh Muslim University. He is known for his works on Islamic jurisprudence, and his book ''Fiqh Islami ka Tareekhi Pas-e-Manzar'' is a required reading for master's degree in Islamic studies at the Islamic University of Science & Technology. Amīni was an alumnus of the Jami’ul Ulum, Kanpur and the Madrasa Aminia. During his career, he taught at Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama and served as the Principal at Darul Uloom Muiniya in Ajmer. Hamid Al-Ansari Ghazi
Hāmid al-Ansāri Ghāzi (1909 – 16 October 1992) was an Indian Muslim scholar, author and a journalist, who co-founded the Nadwatul Musannifeen and served as the editor of bi-weekly newspaper Madina. He was the son of Muhammad Mian Mansoor Ansari and an alumnus of the Darul Uloom Deoband, Jamia Islamia Talimuddin and University of the Punjab.
