Mohammedan Sporting Club (), commonly referred to as Mohammedan, is an Indian multi-sports club based in Kolkata, West Bengal. The club is best known for their professional men's football section which competes in the Indian Super League, the top of the Indian football league system, as well as the Calcutta Football League (CFL), the oldest football league in Asia. Formed in February 1891, it is one of the oldest active football clubs in the country. Mohammedan is first Indian club to win the Durand Cup, also the first Indian club to win a overseas tournament. The club became affiliated with the Indian Football Association (IFA) to play in the second division of CFL before earning promotion to the premier division of CFL in 1933 and a year later, Mohammedan became the first Indian team to win the league and in 1938 became the first team to win it five consecutive times. Kishore Bharati Krirangan (commonly known as Mukundapur Stadium) is a multi-purpose stadium in Kolkata, West Bengal. used mainly for Association football, football matches. The capacity of the stadium is 12,000 and the size of the sports complex is 13 acres. The stadium plays host to Mohammedan SC (Kolkata), Mohammedan SC's non-derby Indian Super League matches and lower division Calcutta Football League matches. It has occasionally hosted Calcutta Premier Division matches. Sports meets of different schools are also held here. History Kishore Bharati Stadium was reopened on 7 February 2021 after a brief renovation by the Government of West Bengal. Chief minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated it ahead of the 2020–21 I-League. The stadium hosted its first domestic league match between Gokulam Kerala FC and Real Kashmir FC, Real Kashmir on the same day.
