In many countries, a mayor is the highest-ranking official in a Municipal corporation, municipal government such as that of a city or a town. Worldwide, there is a wide variance in local laws and customs regarding the powers and responsibilities of a mayor as well as the means by which a mayor is elected or otherwise mandated. Borja Mayoral Moya (born 5 April 1997) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a striker for La Liga club Getafe. César Fernando Mayoral (born 21 December 1947) is an Argentinian diplomat. He served as the Permanent Representative of Argentina to the United Nations from January 2004 to June 2007. Club career Mayoral was born in Ávila, Castile and León, and played youth football for Real Ávila and UD Santa Marta.
