Bird Paradise
Bird Paradise is an aviary located in Mandai, Singapore. Opened on 8 May 2023, it replaced the Jurong Bird Park and forms a part of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, consisting of the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders and the upcoming Rainforest Wild Park. Bird Paradise covers approximately , with larger and double the walk-in aviaries than the previous Jurong Bird Park. Singapore Zoo
The Singapore Zoo, formerly known as the Singapore Zoological Gardens or Mandai Zoo, is a zoo located on the margins of Upper Seletar Reservoir within Singapore's heavily forested central catchment area. It is operated by the Mandai Wildlife Group, which also manages the neighbouring Night Safari, River Wonders, Bird Paradise as well as Rainforest Wild. All five parks makes up the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, which cares for more than 15,000 animals from 1,000 species. Rainforest Wild is a zoo located in Singapore, that is managed by Mandai Wildlife Group, alongside Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, and Bird Paradise. It highlights animals that live in the rainforests of Asia and Africa, in 2 sections named Rainforest Wild ASIA and Rainforest Wild AFRICA. On 12 March 2025, Rainforest Wild ASIA opened, while construction is still ongoing for the African section. River Wonders
River Wonders, formerly known as River Safari, is a river-themed zoo and aquarium located in Mandai, Singapore, it forms a part of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, consisting of the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari and Bird Paradise and the upcoming Rainforest Wild Park. Mandai Road
Mandai Road () is a major road located in Mandai, in the northern area of Singapore. The road starts from Woodlands Road and ends at the junction of Sembawang Road and Upper Thomson Road. The road was built in 1855 in a jungle and appeared in the Franklin and Jackson ''Plan of Singapore'' (1828) as a river indicated as "R. Mandi". It has been said the name of the road comes from a tree known as the "Mandai tree". As the road is the main access to the Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari, it is common to refer to the zoos collectively as the "Mandai Zoo". The Mandai Crematorium and Columbarium is also located in the area, and is the resting places for those honourable leaders, such as Lee Kuan Yew, the former and first Prime Minister of Singapore. ''Night Safari'' is the world's first nocturnal zoo, located in Mandai, Singapore. One of the country's most popular tourist attractions, it is one of five Mandai Wildlife Reserve parks, including Singapore Zoo, Bird Paradise, River Wonders, and the new Rainforest Wild Asia, which opened on 12 March 2025. The concept of a nocturnal park in Singapore was suggested in the 1980s by the former executive chairman of the Singapore Zoo, Dr Ong Swee Law. Upper Seletar Reservoir (, Chinese: 实里达蓄水池上段) is Singapore's third impounding reservoir, after MacRitchie Reservoir and Peirce Reservoir (now the Upper Peirce Reservoir and the Lower Peirce Reservoir). It is located within the Central Water Catchment area of Singapore island.
