Kief
Kief (from Arabic كيف ''kīf'', "Joy, pleasure"), sometimes transliterated as keef, also known as "Dust" and "Chief" a.k.a. cannabis crystals among other names, refers to the pure and clean collection of loose cannabis trichomes, which are accumulated by being sifted from cannabis flowers or buds with a mesh screen or sieve. Like some other cannabis concentrates, it contains a much higher concentration of THC and other psychoactive cannabinoids than that of the cannabis flower from which it is derived. Since it contains a higher level of THC, many consumers choose to add collected kief to their cannabis for a more intense "high"; by the same token, this preparation may induce unwelcome levels of intoxication. Traditionally, kief has been pressed into cakes of hashish for convenience in storage, although it can be vaporized or smoked in either form. Robert Keith Wiggins (September 20, 1960 – September 8, 1989), known by his stage names Keef Cowboy and Cowboy was an American rapper and a member of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. He is widely credited as having invented the term "hip hop". Life and career Wiggins was first recruited to MC for his friend Grandmaster Flash (then DJ Flash) by 1977. Keith Omar Murray (born May 29, 1972) is an American rapper from New York. He is best known for being a member of the hip hop group Def Squad, which includes fellow rappers Redman and fellow Long Island native Erick Sermon. Phoebe Keef (1898–1978) was a field archaeologist and was elected as a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland in 1938. She directed several excavations, including work at East Dean Park and Harting Beacon, both in Sussex. Biography Keef was born in Amritsar in 1898, during the British Raj, and her family later moved to England where she went to school. Keef's father died when she was 3 years old. During the First World War, Keef worked for the YMCA and the St John's Ambulance, and received a medal for her work with the YMCA. In 1934 Keef completed a diploma in archaeology, studying at University College London. In 1938 she volunteered at the excavation of Angmering Roman villa. She also excavated at Chester hill fort in Scotland in 1939.
