Hexadecimal Numeral System
Hexadecimal (also known as base-16 or simply hex) is a positional numeral system that represents numbers using a radix (base) of sixteen. Unlike the decimal system representing numbers using ten symbols, hexadecimal uses sixteen distinct symbols, most often the symbols "0"–"9" to represent values 0 to 9 and "A"–"F" to represent values from ten to fifteen. Software developers and system designers widely use hexadecimal numbers because they provide a convenient representation of binary-coded values. Numeral System
A numeral system is a writing system for expressing numbers; that is, a mathematical notation for representing numbers of a given set, using digits or other symbols in a consistent manner. The same sequence of symbols may represent different numbers in different numeral systems. For example, "11" represents the number ''eleven'' in the decimal or base-10 numeral system (today, the most common system globally), the number ''three'' in the binary or base-2 numeral system (used in modern computers), and the number ''two'' in the unary numeral system (used in tallying scores). Printf
printf is a C standard library function that formats text and writes it to standard output. The function accepts a format c-string argument and a variable number of value arguments that the function serializes per the format string. Mismatch between the format specifiers and count and type of values results in undefined behavior and possibly program crash or other vulnerability. The format string is encoded as a template language consisting of verbatim text and ''format specifiers'' that each specify how to serialize a value. As the format string is processed left-to-right, a subsequent value is used for each format specifier found. Fortran 95 Language Features
This is an overview of Fortran 95 language features which is based upon the standards document which has been replaced by a newer version. Included are the additional features of TR-15581:Enhanced Data Type Facilities, which have been universally implemented. Old features that have been superseded by new ones are not described few of those historic features are used in modern programs although most have been retained in the language to maintain backward compatibility. The additional features of subsequent standards, up to Fortran 2023, are described in the Fortran 2023 standard document, ISO/IEC 1539-1:2023. Forth (programming Language)
Forth is a stack-oriented programming language and interactive integrated development environment designed by Charles H. "Chuck" Moore and first used by other programmers in 1970. Although not an acronym, the language's name in its early years was often spelled in all capital letters as ''FORTH''. GameMaker (originally Animo, Game Maker (until 2011) and GameMaker Studio) is a series of cross-platform game engines created by Mark Overmars in 1999 and developed by YoYo Games since 2007. Commodore BASIC
Commodore BASIC, also known as PET BASIC or CBM-BASIC, is the Dialect (computing), dialect of the BASIC programming language used in Commodore International's 8-bit home computer line, stretching from the Commodore PET, PET (1977) to the Commodore 128 (1985). The core is based on MOS Technology 6502, 6502 Microsoft BASIC, and as such it shares many characteristics with other 6502 BASICs of the time, such as Applesoft BASIC. Pascal is an imperative and procedural programming language, designed by Niklaus Wirth as a small, efficient language intended to encourage good programming practices using structured programming and data structuring. It is named after French mathematician, philosopher and physicist Blaise Pascal. Pascal was developed on the pattern of the ALGOL 60 language. Wirth was involved in the process to improve the language as part of the ALGOL X efforts and proposed a version named ALGOL W. This was not accepted, and the ALGOL X process bogged down.
