César Augusto Hernández (pronounced SAY-zahr; born May 23, 1990) is a Venezuelans, Venezuelan professional baseball second baseman who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Philadelphia Phillies, Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox, and Washington Nationals. On July 2, 2006, the Phillies signed Hernández as an Undrafted free agents, undrafted amateur free agent, at the age of 16. He made his major league debut during the 2013 Philadelphia Phillies season, 2013 season. In 2016, he led the major leagues in Bunt (baseball), bunt hits, and led the National League (baseball), National League (NL) in infield hits and Triple (baseball), triples. In 2018, he tied for the major league lead in bunt hits. César Dario Pérez Hernández (born September 28, 1966) is a former Major League Baseball outfielder who played 61 games for the Cincinnati Reds in and , mostly in left field. Career He was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the first round of the amateur draft (Dominican Draft), and in , the Reds selected him off the waiver wire. He made his major league debut on July 19, 1992, as a pinch hitter for Chris Hammond against the St. Louis Cardinals. His final game came on May 17, 1993, as a defensive replacement in left field against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
