''Commitment to Complications'' is the second studio album by American electro-industrial duo Youth Code, released on April 8, 2016 through Dais Records. The album was produced by Rhys Fulber of Front Line Assembly. "Anagnorisis" was released as a 7-inch single in 2015 with the B-side "Shift of Dismay". Background and composition Following two tours opening for Skinny Puppy, Youth Code returned to the studio to begin their sophomore album. Rhys Fulber of Front Line Assembly, another band Youth Code opened for, was brought in to produce the album. Youth Code is an American Electronic body music, EBM duo, formed in 2012 by Sara Taylor and Ryan George in Los Angeles, California. The duo's musical style, following the model of early Wax Trax! Records, has been described as industrial music infused with "Hardcore punk, hardcore angst." Following their self-released ''Demonstrational Cassette'' in 2012 and a chance meeting with Psychic TV, Youth Code were invited to release their first single, "Keep Falling Apart", through Angry Love Productions (the label's first non-Psychic TV release). Since then, they have released two full-length studio albums, an Extended play, EP, and two additional singles. Goatwhore is an American extreme metal band formed in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1997. Biography Goatwhore was formed by guitarist/backing vocalist Sammy “Pierre” Duet, who was previously the lead guitarist for Louisiana sludge metal band Acid Bath. The band's origins can date back to 1991 with Sammy and drummer Zak Nolan. The band was at the time called "Killgore" with Duet on lead guitar and vocals and Zak Nolan on drums. Killgore would release a number of demos up until 1997 when they changed their name to Goatwhore, after Acid Bath dissolved due to the death of bassist Audie Pitre. Skinny Puppy was a Canadian electro-industrial band formed in Vancouver in 1982. The group was among the founders of the industrial rock and electro-industrial genres. Initially envisioned as an experimental side-project by cEvin Key (Kevin Crompton) while he was in the new wave band Images in Vogue, Skinny Puppy evolved into a full-time project with the addition of vocalist Nivek Ogre (Kevin Ogilvie).
