Commission For Academic Accreditation
The Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) is the UAE Federal Government Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. Working collaboratively with relevant national and local authorities in the Emirates, the CAA has a key leadership role in securing and developing the quality of higher education in the UAE. As a matter of the highest priority, it sets out to safeguard academic standards, and to assure and enhance the quality of learning opportunities provided for students in UAE's higher education institutions (HEIs). It undertakes licensure of HEIs in the UAE and accreditation of their award-bearing academic programs. In order to be entered in the National Register and receive Federal Recognition any HEIs offering post-secondary education in the UAE must receive institutional licensure and accreditation of their degree and diploma. Arab Network For Quality Assurance In Higher Education
The Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ANQAHE) was established in 2007 as a nonprofit nongovernmental organization. The purpose of ANQAHE is to establish an international Arab network for quality assurance in higher education and to facilitate exchange of information and disseminate best practice in quality assurance; develop and support quality assurance agencies according to appropriate standards; and strengthen links between existing quality agencies across national borders. Licensure means a restricted practice or a restriction on the use of an occupational title, requiring a license. Education In The United Arab Emirates
Provision of education in the UAE began shortly after the establishment of the federation with the inception of the first university in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates University. Since then, the country has progressed with efforts of ensuring high literacy rates, modern programs and women's share in education.
