Commando (2013 Film)
''Commando: A One Man Army'' is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Dilip Ghosh and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Reliance Entertainment. It is the first installment of '' Commando film series''. The film features Vidyut Jammwal, Pooja Chopra and Jaideep Ahlawat. Jammwal, who is trained in Kalaripayattu, performs martial arts in the film's action sequences. ''Commando: A One Man Army'' was released on 12 April 2013. It was followed by two sequels titled '' Commando 2'' (2017) and '' Commando 3'' (2019). Plot Karan Singh Dogra, a Para SF Captain in Indian Army, is captured by Chinese officials when his helicopter crashes on the Chinese border during a routine training exercise. Dilip Ghosh is an Indian film director and producer. He received National Film Award – Special Mention (non-feature film), Special Mention along with Siddharth Kak, Naresh Saxena and Raj Gopal Rao in the 38th National Film Awards, 1990 National Film Award for his 1990 documentary Aadhi Haqeeqat, Aadha Fasana, Children of the Silver Screen (Hindi: ''Aadhi Haqueeqat Aadha Fasana).'' ''Commando 3'' is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Aditya Datt and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah & Reliance Entertainment. The film is the third film of ''Commando'' franchise following ''Commando'' (2013) and '' Commando 2'' (2017). It stars Vidyut Jammwal, with Gulshan Devaiah as the antagonist, alongside Adah Sharma and Angira Dhar. In the film, Karan goes undercover with Bhavana Reddy for an anti-terrorist mission in London. Filming commenced in September 2018 in Bradford and York City in England. The film was earlier planned to release in September 2019. It was finally released in cinemas on 29 November 2019.
