Charade (1963 Song)
"Charade" is a Parisian waltz with music by Henry Mancini and lyrics by Johnny Mercer performed in the 1963 film of the same name starring Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn. It was nominated that year for the Academy Award for Best Original Song. Inspiration Stanley Donen had heard and been charmed by Henry Mancini's song " Baby Elephant Walk" from the film ''Hatari!'', Henry Mancini had become a friend of Audrey Hepburn while scoring '' Breakfast at Tiffany's'', and he composed the song for ''Charade'': "Our next film together was ''Charade'' in 1963. Henry Mancini
Henry Mancini ( ; born Enrico Nicola Mancini; April 16, 1924 – June 14, 1994) was an American composer, conductor, arranger, pianist and flutist. Often cited as one of the greatest composers in the history of film, he won four Academy Awards, a Golden Globe, and twenty Grammy Awards, plus a posthumous Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1995. His works include the theme and soundtrack for the ''Peter Gunn'' television series as well as the music for ''The Pink Panther'' film series (" The Pink Panther Theme") and " Moon River" from '' Breakfast at Tiffany's''. Sammy Kaye
Sammy Kaye (born Samuel Zarnocay Jr.; March 13, 1910 – June 2, 1987) was an American bandleader and songwriter, whose tag line, "Swing and Sway with Sammy Kaye", became one of the most famous of the Big Band Era. The expression springs from his first hit single in 1937, " Swing and Sway" (U.S. no. 15). He was the first to record and release the standard "Blueberry Hill" in 1940. During World War II, he co-wrote and recorded the anthemic " Remember Pearl Harbor" (U.S. No. 3). He was the first to record and release the no. 1 song " Daddy" in 1941. ''Gumnaam'' (translation: ''Anonymous'') is a 1965 Indian Hindi-language mystery film directed by Raja Nawathe and produced by N. N. Sippy.
