Chapter 1. Dream Girl – The Misconceptions Of You
''The Misconceptions of Us'' is the third studio album released by South Korean boy band Shinee. It consists of two parts, ''Dream Girl – The Misconceptions of You'' and the second ''Why So Serious? – The Misconceptions of Me'', that were later collected together as ''The Misconceptions of Us'' under SM Entertainment and distributed by KT Music. Background On February 7, SM Entertainment announced that Shinee would release their third studio album later that month, with "Dream Girl" as the lead single. Shortly after, the group held the event "Melon Premiere Shinee Music Spoiler" where they revealed songs from the album to 100 music reviewers. The album was confirmed to be split into two "chapters", ''Dream Girl – The Misconceptions of You'' and ''Why So Serious? – The Misconceptions of Me'', both within the framework of "misconceptions". Shinee ( ; ; ; stylized as SHINee) is a South Korean boy band formed by SM Entertainment in 2008. The group consists of four members: Onew, Key (entertainer), Key, Choi Min-ho, Minho, and Taemin. Iain James Farquharson (born 20 February 1980), more commonly known as Iain James or Sparx, is a British singer, songwriter and vocal producer from Bristol, but based in London. He started as part of the British boyband Triple 8 in 2003 as their lead singer and known as Sparx. He left after the group had two Top 10 hits and was replaced by Stewart Macintosh in 2005. Kim Ki-bum (; born September 23, 1991), better known by his stage name Key, is a South Korean singer, songwriter and television personality. Born and raised in Daegu, South Korea, he later moved to Seoul after a successful audition at the SM National Tour Audition Casting.
