The Centre for the Macedonian Language in Greece ( mk, Центар за македонски јазик во Грција, Centar za makedonski jazik vo Grcija; el, Κέντρο Μακεδονικής Γλώσσας στην Ελλάδα, Kéntro Makedonikís Glóssas stin Elláda) is a non-governmental and nonprofit organization aimed at preserving the Macedonian language in Greece. It is based in Florina ( mk, Лерин, Lerin, link=no) and its registration was officially approved on 27 July 2022 by the Court of First Instance of Florina. The organization aims to offer free Macedonian-language courses online and advocates for the introduction of Macedonian in public education in Greece and for the recognition of Macedonian as a minority language in the country. Florina
Florina ( el, Φλώρινα, ''Flórina''; known also by some alternative names) is a town and municipality in the mountainous northwestern Macedonia, Greece. Its motto is, 'Where Greece begins'. The town of Florina is the capital of the Florina regional unit and also the seat of the eponymous municipality. It belongs to the administrative region of Western Macedonia. Greece–North Macedonia relations refers to the bilateral relations between Greece and North Macedonia. Greece has an embassy in Skopje, and a Consulate General in Bitola. Similarly, North Macedonia maintains an embassy in Athens, and a consulate-general in Thessaloniki. Both countries are members of the Council of Europe and NATO. Hristijan Mickoski ( mk, Христијан Мицкоски, ) is a Macedonian politician, university professor and president of VMRO-DPMNE. In 2016, he became the director of JSC "Power Plants of Macedonia", and in the period 2015—2017 he was energy advisor to the prime ministers Nikola Gruevski and Emil Dimitriev. He was elected leader of VMRO-DPMNE at the party's 16th congress in Valandovo. Biography Mickoski was born on 29 September 1977 in Skopje, then in SFR Yugoslavia. He was the president of ELEM, the state-owned electricity producing company. He became a PhD and an associate professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Ss.
