Cairo Derby
The Cairo derby () or the Top Match (), known as the Arab Classico () is a rivalry between Egyptian Association football, football clubs Al Ahly SC, Al Ahly and Zamalek SC, Zamalek, arguably the two most successful clubs in Egypt and Africa. Al Ahly and Zamalek were named by the Confederation of African Football, CAF as the 1st and 2nd African clubs of the 20th century respectively. It is considered one of the fiercest sports encounters, and its matches attract a large audience. This match is known for its intensity since 1917 until today. Both teams are located in Greater Cairo and their matches are considered the highlight of the football season with a live broadcast to most of the Middle Eastern and North African countries since the 1970s. Nour El-Dali
Nour El-Din Ahmed El-Dali ( October 24, 1928 – April 16, 2004) was an Egyptian footballer executive and player who played for Zamalek SC, Zamalek and Egypt national football team, Egypt as a defender, represented his country and was part of the team that won the 1957 Africa Cup of Nations. He was also part of Egypt's squad for the Football at the 1952 Summer Olympics, football tournament at the 1952 Summer Olympics, but he did not play in any matches. El-Dali was the president of Zamalek SC for two years, between 1990 and 1992. Mostafa Taha
Mostafa Kamel Taha Yossef El-Gamal (; 23 March 1910 – 7 October 1969) was an Egyptian football forward who played for Zamalek and Egypt. He was a prolific goal scorer, He played almost all of his career in Zamalek. Taha represented Egypt at the 1934 World Cup and the 1936 Summer Olympics. Mohamed Latif
Mohamed Latif (; 23 October 1909 – 17 March 1990) was an Egyptian football manager, pundit, referee and executive. He was a former professional footballer. He played for the clubs El-Zamalek of Egypt and Rangers F.C. of Scotland, as well as for the Egypt national team. Early life He was born on October 23, 1909 in Beni Suef Governorate, to a middle class family. He joined the Khedivial School and became the team's captain and right winger. He won the Schools Cup with his school in 1920. Hussein Hegazi
Hussein Hegazi (; 14 September 1889 – 8 October 1961) was an Egyptian international footballer. He is considered the father of Egyptian football. Hegazi played in England at the prime of his career. He spent most of his professional career in Zamalek, where he was a part of the team that won the Sultan Hussein Cup in 1921, becoming the first Egyptian club in history to win a tournament. He also played for the Egypt national football team in their first match in 1916. With the Egypt national football team, he was in the first team created to represent the country in 1916. He participated with Egypt at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp and the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris.
