The Cambodian seventh Council of Ministers was formed on 22 August 2023. It is led by prime minister Hun Manet, making it the first government in 38 years to not be led by Hun Sen following his resignation. Norodom Sihamoni
Norodom Sihamoni (, ; born 14 May 1953) is King of Cambodia. He became King on 14 October 2004, a week after the abdication of his father, Norodom Sihanouk. He is the eldest son of King Sihanouk and former Queen consort Norodom Monineath and is the fourth monarch from the royal House of Norodom. Before his selection by a nine-member throne council as the next monarch, Sihamoni served as Cambodia's ambassador to the United Nations and UNESCO. 2023 Cambodian General Election
General elections were held in Cambodia on 23 July 2023 to elect members of the National Assembly (Cambodia), National Assembly. The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) held all seats in parliament prior to the elections. The result was a landslide victory for the CPP, which won 120 of the 125 seats. FUNCINPEC won the remaining five seats, its best result since 2003 Cambodian general election, 2003. FUNCINPEC
The National United Front for an Independent, Neutral, Peaceful and Cooperative Cambodia, commonly referred to as FUNCINPEC, is a royalist political party in Cambodia. Founded in 1981 by Norodom Sihanouk, it began as a resistance movement against the People's Republic of Kampuchea (PRK) government. In 1982, it formed a resistance pact with the Coalition Government of Democratic Kampuchea (CGDK), together with the Khmer People's National Liberation Front (KPNLF) and the Khmer Rouge. Tea Banh
Tea Banh ( ; born 5 November 1945) is a Cambodian politician and general. He was a Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for National Defence of Cambodia from 1987 until 2023. He is a former general and a member of the Cambodian People's Party and was elected to represent Siem Reap Province in the National Assembly of Cambodia in the 2003 elections. He was succeeded as defence minister by his eldest son Tea Seiha. Sar Kheng
Sar Kheng (; born 15 January 1951) is a Cambodian politician. He is the vice president of the ruling Cambodian People's Party and served as Minister of the Interior and deputy prime minister from 1992 to 2023. He also represents the province of Battambang in the Cambodian Parliament. Kheng has been the Minister of the Interior since 1992. Until March 2006, he shared the position with FUNCINPEC party member You Hockry as co-Ministers of the Interior, but then became sole interior minister in a cabinet reshuffle as FUNCINPEC ended its coalition with the CPP.
