Boseong County
Boseong County (''Boseong-gun'') is a Administrative divisions of South Korea, county in South Jeolla Province, South Korea. Boseong is famous for its green tea leaves, with 26.71 hectares of land dedicated to its production. It is also the birthplace of the Korean independence activist Philip Jaisohn. History In the Samhan era, Boseong belonged to the Mahan confederacy and later became Bokhol County (伏忽郡) under the rule of the Baekje dynasty. The name "Boseong" was given in Unified Silla. Geography Large areas consist of mountains such as Mangil-Bong, Jonje Mountain and Joowol Mountain. The Boseong River flows through the center of Boseong. Dr. Paik Haksoon is the Founding President of the Academy of Kim Dae-jung Studies, established by the Kim Dae-jung Foundation in Seoul, Korea. Kim Dae-jung was the 15th President of the Republic of Korea (South Korea) and the Nobel Peace Prize laureate in 2000. Buk-gu, Daegu
Buk District () is a district in northwestern Daegu, South Korea. It adjoins Chilgok County on the north. The area is 93.99 km2. The population is about 414,883. Buk District was first created as an office of Daegu in 1938, during the period of Japanese rule. It was raised to the status of a district in 1963. Cheong Yang-seog
Cheong Yang-seog (; born 25 November 1958) is a South Korean politician in the conservative People Power Party who was elected member of the National Assembly for Gangbuk, Seoul, in the 2016 parliamentary election. He previously represented the same constituency between 2008 and 2012. In his first term as an assemblyman, Cheong was a member of the Assembly's Strategy and Finance Committee. In 2010, he introduced a bill to increase the basic tax deduction for salaried workers from 1 million to 2 million South Korean won.
