Wildlife attacks in Australia occur every year from several different native species, including snakes, spiders, Freshwater crocodile, freshwater and Saltwater crocodile, saltwater crocodiles, various sharks, Cassowary, cassowaries, kangaroos, stingrays and stonefish and a variety of smaller marine creatures such as Portuguese man o' war, bluebottles, blue-ringed octopus, Conus, cone shells and jellyfish. It is estimated that there are about 100,000 dog attacks in Australia each year. Land Cassowary Cassowaries have a reputation for being dangerous to people and domestic animals. The 2007 edition of the Guinness World Records lists the cassowary as the world's most dangerous bird.
