President Of Mexico
The president of Mexico (), officially the president of the United Mexican States (), is the head of state and head of government of Mexico. Under the Constitution of Mexico, the president heads the executive branch of the federal government and is the commander in chief of the Mexican Armed Forces. The office, which was first established by the 1824 Constitution of Mexico, federal Constitution of 1824, is currently held by Claudia Sheinbaum, who was sworn in on October 1, 2024. The office of the president is considered to be revolutionary, in the sense that the powers of office are derived from the Mexican Revolution, Revolutionary Constitution of Mexico, Constitution of 1917. Josefina Vázquez Mota
Josefina Eugenia Vázquez Mota ( o̞.se̞'fi.na'βas.ke̞s'mo̞.ta (born 20 January 1961, in Mexico City) is a businessperson and politician who was the presidential candidate of the National Action Party (PAN) for the 2012 elections. Vázquez Mota was trained as an economist and began her working career in family businesses and with various business organizations and conferences, also working as a journalist and writing books. She began her political career with the PAN by becoming involved in Mexico's federal Chamber of Deputies and then in the administrations of Vicente Fox and Felipe Calderón. Felipe González González (28 January 1947 – 24 February 2023) was a Mexican politician and businessman. A member of the National Action Party (PAN), he was Governor of Aguascalientes from 1998 to 2004 and served in the Senate from 2006 to 2012. Early years Felipe González was born in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, on January 28, 1947. His father died when he was 21, after which time he worked in the family business with his brothers. Mariano Azuela Güitrón
Mariano Azuela Güitrón (1 April 1936 – 16 May 2025) was a Mexican jurist who was a member of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) from 1983 to 2009 and served as its president (chief justice) from 2003 to 2007. Personal life and education Born 1 April 1936, in Mexico City, to Mariano Azuela Rivera – who also served as a Minister of the Supreme Court (Associate Justice) – and María de los Dolores Güitrón Machaen; he was also the grandson of Mariano Azuela González, a prominent novelist of the Mexican Revolutionary period. Rafael Macedo de la Concha (born May 6, 1950, in Mexico City) is a Mexican army general and former Attorney General in the cabinet of Vicente Fox (December 1, 2000 – April 27, 2005). Julio José Frenk Mora (born December 20, 1953) is a Mexican public health scholar and sociologist, currently serving as the 7th chancellor of the University of California, Los Angeles since January 1, 2025. Frenk graduated from the University of Michigan in 1983 with a Master of Public Health, a Master of Arts in sociology, and a joint PhD in medical care organization and sociology.
