Business.gov is sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration to provide small business owners with access to federal, state and local government resources from a single access point. History Business.gov was launched in 1997 as the U.S. Business Advisor by the National Technical Information Service of the United States Department of Commerce. The United States Small Business Administration (SBA) is an independent agency of the United States government that provides support to entrepreneurs and small businesses.
