Brentwood is located on Vancouver Island in Mill Bay, British Columbia, Canada. History Brentwood was first founded in 1923. The original location was in Brentwood Bay near Saanich on Vancouver Island, from where its name was derived. The original school was destroyed by a fire in 1947, leaving only the chapel intact. The current school is located westward directly across the bay from the original site, in Mill Bay. The new version of the school opened in September 1961. In 1972, Brentwood College became the first all-boys boarding school in Canada to gradually integrate girls, starting with 20 grade 12 students, becoming officially co-ed for the fall session.Prowse, Nicholas R.B. Brentwood School is an independent, secular K–12 coed day school with two campuses located four blocks apart in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, United States. History Founded in 1972, Brentwood School took over the property formerly owned by Brentwood Military Academy, which had existed at this location since 1930. The Academy, founded by Mary McDonnell in 1902, moved sites multiple times, and was always under the direction of Miss McDonnell and other family members. In spring 1972, it was announced that the military academy would not reopen in the fall, and the property was sold by John McDonnell to Terry Leavey Lemons and Walter Ziglar, who soon converted the school to non-profit status. Brentwood School opened in fall 1972 as a college preparatory day school serving Grades 6-10. The first Headmaster of Brentwood School was Richman Grant. Brentwood School (Sandersville)
Brentwood School is an independent school in Sandersville. Brentwood School houses 15 grades in three different buildings throughout campus, K-3, K-4, and Kindergarten are found in the Lucy Nell Smith building. Grades 1-6 are found in the Linton Hall Building and grades 7-8 and 9-12 are all housed in the Upper School Building. In 2016, the school was ranked as one of the top 100 private schools in Georgia. Sports The school offers nine sports which include baseball, basketball, football, tennis, track and field, competitive cheerleading, softball, cross country, and golf. The school competes in the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) and is in classification AA. The school has won 17 state championships across its various sports teams since 1970.
