Brendon (singer)
Brendon (born Brendon Dunning) is a British pop/folk rock singer. He had releases on Ariola Records and Magnet Records in the mid 1970s. One of his singles, "Gimme Some", a cover version of a disco song recorded the previous year by Jimmy "Bo" Horne, hit the UK Singles Chart in 1977, peaking at number 14 in March of that year. The follow up, a cover of ABBA's " Rock Me" failed to chart. He recorded his first album titled "Brendon" in 1974 with U.K. Records. In 2009 Brendon and Dave Levy (former band member) released new material under the name of Simple Country Folk. Their album is titled ''Long Time Coming''. In 2020 Brendon announced his return to music and his folk rock roots with his latest album "Hold My Hand". Oladele Brendon Ayanbadejo (; born September 6, 1976) is a former American football linebacker and special teamer who played in Canadian Football League (CFL) and the National Football League (NFL) for thirteen seasons. He played college football for the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He was signed by the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent in 1999. Ayanbadejo has been selected to the Pro Bowl three times as a special teams player. He also was named to the All-Pro team two times as special teams player by Pro Football Weekly/Pro Football Writers Association. Brendon Hartley (born 10 November 1989) is a New Zealand professional racing driver who is currently competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship with Toyota Gazoo Racing. He won the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship, alongside his teammates Mark Webber and Timo Bernhard, and also went on to win the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship alongside Bernhard and Earl Bamber. Brendon Barrie McCullum (born 27 September 1981) is a cricket coach, commentator and former cricketer representing New Zealand, who played all formats, including as captain. McCullum was renowned for his quick scoring, notably recording the fastest test century of all time. He is considered one of the most successful batsmen and captains of New Zealand cricket. Brendon Small (born February 15, 1975) is an American actor, stand-up comedian, animator, writer, director, producer, and musician known for co-creating the animated series ''Home Movies'' (1999–2004, with Loren Bouchard) and '' Metalocalypse'' (2006–13, with Tommy Blacha). Brendon Hills
The Brendon Hills are a range of hills in west Somerset, England. The hills merge level into the eastern side of Exmoor and are included within the Exmoor National Park. The highest point of the range is Lype Hill at above sea level with a secondary summit several kilometres to the southeast at . Both points are marked by Ordnance Survey trig points and are located within enclosed farmland. Early versions of the name include ''Brunedun'' and ''Brundon'' reflecting an original name of ''Bruna'' or ''Brune'', meaning 'brown one'. ''Dun'' is a common Old English word for a fairly flat and extensive hill. This name is not connected with the village of Brendon in Devon, the name of which has a different origin.
