Bonnie Parker And Clyde Barrow
Bonnie Elizabeth Parker (October 1, 1910May 23, 1934) and Clyde Chestnut (Champion) Barrow (March 24, 1909May 23, 1934) were an American criminal couple who traveled the Central United States with their gang during the Great Depression. The couple were known for their bank robberies, although they preferred to rob small stores or rural funeral homes. Their exploits captured the attention of the American press and its readership during what is occasionally referred to as the "public enemy era" between 1931 and 1934. They were ambushed by police and shot to death in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. Bonnie & Clyde Garage Apartment
The Bonnie and Clyde Garage Apartment is located at Oak Ridge Drive in Joplin, Newton County, Missouri, though it actually fronts on 34th Street. The apartment was the location where the Barrow Gang hid out after a series of robberies in Missouri and neighboring states. After twelve days, neighbors reported suspicious behavior, and on April 13, 1933, the Joplin Police Department raided the apartment. Two of the police officers were killed by the fleeing fugitives. Undeveloped photographs, left behind by the gang, helped the authorities eventually stop the gang. Stolen merchandise conclusively tied the gang to a robbery in Joplin during their stay there. It was built about 1927, and is a two-story building on a poured concrete foundation. Ralph Fults
Ralph Fults (January 23, 1911 – March 16, 1993) was a Depression-era outlaw and escape artist associated with Raymond Hamilton, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow of the Barrow Gang. Early life Born to a U.S. postal worker in Anna, Texas, he was arrested in Aspermont, Texas, after police found him carrying a suitcase full of stolen goods. The 14-year-old Fults escaped from the town's jail a week later after making a key from an old tobacco can. With the town sheriff attending the county fair, Fults was able to start a mass jailbreak, letting the remaining inmates out of jail. However, Fults was soon recaptured and incarcerated in the Gatesville State School, from which he escaped on April 16, 1927. Two years later, Fults was arrested and convicted of burglary after selling stolen cigarettes to a grocer in Greenville, Texas. Buck Barrow
Marvin Ivan "Buck" Barrow (March 14, 1905 – July 29, 1933) was a member of the Barrow Gang. He was the older brother of the gang's leader, Clyde Barrow. He and his wife, Blanche, were wounded in a gun battle with police four months after they joined up with Bonnie and Clyde. Buck died of his injuries soon afterward.
