Blame It On The Fish
''Blame It on the Fish: An Abstract Look at the 2003 Primus Tour de Fromage'' is a DVD by Primus that was released on October 17, 2006. It was directed by Matthew J. Powers and produced by Powers Philms and Frizzle Fry Inc. This DVD contains 70 minutes of the movie, 90 minutes of extras and interviews taken from Primus' 2003 Tour de Fromage. It also shows random clips between songs and interviews. The title of the DVD stems from an incident in the film where drummer Tim Alexander successfully performs after getting food poisoning from bad fish at a restaurant. The band requested that the film be abstract, artistic, and that the songs not be shown in their entirety. Primus (band)
Primus is an American rock band formed in El Sobrante, California in 1984. The band is currently composed of bassist/vocalist Les Claypool, guitarist Larry "Ler" LaLonde, and drummer Tim "Herb" Alexander. Primus originally formed in 1984 with Claypool and guitarist Todd Huth, later joined by drummer Jay Lane, though the latter two departed the band at the beginning of 1989, and were replaced by LaLonde and Alexander respectively. The "classic" lineup of Claypool, LaLonde and Alexander debuted with the live album ''Suck on This'', which was self-released in 1989 on Claypool's label Prawn Song and reissued a year later by Caroline Records. ''Duck Stab!/Buster & Glen'', later renamed as just ''Duck Stab'', is the fifth studio album by American art rock group The Residents, released in November 1978. It is named after the first side of the album, ''Duck Stab!'', a seven-song EP released earlier in 1978 featuring shorter songs similar to the first side of ''Fingerprince''. ''Buster and Glen'', the B-side of the album, was intended to follow ''Duck Stab!'' presumably in early 1979. After the first pressing of ''Duck Stab!'' quickly sold out—which was an oddity for the band—they decided to re-release it as an album, merged with the unreleased ''Buster and Glen''. This was also in part due to the audio quality of the original EP, which The Residents stated was poor. Reid Laurence "Larry" LaLonde (born September 12, 1968), also known as Ler LaLonde, is an American musician best known as the guitarist for Primus, a position that he has served since 1989, where he is known for his experimental accompaniment to the bass playing of bandmate Les Claypool. Previously, he played guitar for the groups Possessed, Blind Illusion, No Forcefield, and the Frank Zappa tribute band "Caca". Leslie Edward Claypool (born September 29, 1963) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, filmmaker, and author. He is best known as the founder, lead singer, bassist, primary songwriter, and only continuous member of the rock band Primus since its formation in 1984. Frequently considered one of the best bassists of all time, his playing style is well known for mixing tapping, flamenco-like strumming, whammy bar bends, and slapping. Timothy W. Alexander (born April 10, 1965), also credited as "Herb" Alexander, is an American musician best known as the drummer for the rock band Primus. Alexander has played on the majority of Primus's discography, including some of the band's most well known albums such as ''Frizzle Fry'' (1990), '' Sailing the Seas of Cheese'' (1991), ''Pork Soda'' (1993) and ''Tales from the Punchbowl'' (1995). Alexander has been in the band across three stints; he initially left the band in 1996 and rejoined in 2003 before leaving again in 2010 and re-joining in 2013. ''Frizzle Fry'' is the debut studio album by American rock band Primus. It was released on February 7, 1990, by Caroline Records. Produced by the band and Matt Winegar, the album was recorded at Different Fur Studios in San Francisco in December of 1989. Background Primus self-financed the recording of ''Frizzle Fry'' using proceeds from their preceding album, ''Suck On This''. The completed album was then released in 1990 on Caroline Records. The Residents
The Residents are an American art collective and art rock band best known for their avant-garde music and multimedia works. "Southbound Pachyderm" is a song by the American rock band Primus. It was released on their 1995 album ''Tales from the Punchbowl''.
