Bill Walsh (producer)
William Crozier Walsh (September 30, 1913 – January 27, 1975) was a film producer, screenwriter and comics writer who primarily worked on live-action films for Walt Disney Productions. He was born in New York City. For his work on ''Mary Poppins'', he shared Academy Award nominations for Best Picture with Walt Disney, and for Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material from Another Medium with Don DaGradi. He also wrote the ''Mickey Mouse'' comic strip for more than two decades. He died in Los Angeles and was interred in Glendale's Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. ''Spin and Marty'' is a series of television shorts that aired as part of ''The Mickey Mouse Club'' show of the mid-1950s, produced by Walt Disney and broadcast on the ABC network in the United States. There were three serials in all, set at the Triple R Ranch, a boys' western-style summer camp. The first series of 25 eleven-minute episodes, ''The Adventures of Spin and Marty'', was filmed in 1955. Its popularity led to two sequels — ''The Further Adventures of Spin and Marty'' in 1956 and ''The New Adventures of Spin and Marty'' in 1957. The serials were based on the 1942 novel ''Marty Markham'' by Lawrence Edward Watkin. The shows' success led to a reprinting of Watkin's novel in 1956 and the ''Spin and Marty'' comic books of the late 1950s. ''Silly Symphony'', initially titled ''Silly Symphonies'', is a weekly Disney comic strip that debuted on January 10, 1932 as a topper for the ''Mickey Mouse'' strip's Sunday page. The strip featured adaptations of Walt Disney's popular short film series, ''Silly Symphony'', which released 75 cartoons from 1929 to 1939, as well as other cartoons and animated films. The comic strip outlived its parent series by six years, ending on October 7, 1945. ''Silly Symphony'' initially related the adventures of Bucky Bug, the first Disney character to originate in the comics. Panchito Pistoles is a cartoon anthropomorphic rooster created by Fred Moore. He first appeared in the 1944 Disney film ''The Three Caballeros'' with his friends Donald Duck and José Carioca. Roy Williams (artist)
Roy Williams (July 30, 1907 – November 7, 1976) was an artist and entertainer for The Walt Disney Studios, best known as "Big Roy," the adult mouseketeer for four seasons on the ''Mickey Mouse Club'' television series and for his invention of the Mickey Mouse hats. Early life and career Williams was born in Colville, Washington and raised in Los Angeles, where he attended Fremont High School. After graduating, he was hired as an artist by Walt Disney in 1930. He worked on animated shorts while attending Chouinard Art Institute at night. He later also developed story ideas for Disney. He also designed over 100 insignias for the U.S. armed forces during World War II, and is credited with designing the mouse ears worn on the ''Mickey Mouse Club'' which would later be sold at Disney Parks.
