Big Brother 24 (American Season)
''Big Brother 24'' is the twenty-fourth season of the American reality television program ''Big Brother (American TV series), Big Brother''. The season premiered on July 6, 2022, on CBS in the United States and Global Television Network, Global in Canada. Hosted by Julie Chen Moonves, the show follows a group of contestants (known as HouseGuests), who live in a house together while being constantly filmed and having no communication with the outside world as they compete to win a grand prize of . The season ran for 82 days, with the season ending on September 25, 2022, when Taylor Hale was crowned the winner, defeating Monte Taylor. Hale became the first Black people, black female HouseGuest to win, as well as the second black HouseGuest to win in the main edition of the show. She was also voted America's Favorite HouseGuest, becoming the first winner to also claim this prize. On September 25, 2022, CBS renewed the series for a twenty-fifth season. Julie Suzanne Chen Moonves ( Chen; born January 6, 1970) is an American television personality, news anchor, and producer for CBS. She has been the host of the American version of the CBS Reality television, reality-television program ''Big Brother (American TV series), Big Brother'' since its debut in July 2000. From 2002 to 2010, she was a co-anchor of ''The Early Show'' on CBS. In 2004, Chen married CBS executive Les Moonves. Bountiful is Davis city. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 42,552, a three percent increase over the 2000 figure of 41,301.
