''Big Brother 2011'', also known as ''Big Brother 12'', was the twelfth series of the British reality television series '' Big Brother'' and the first not to be broadcast on Channel 4. It was broadcast on Channel 5 for the first time since the show's transfer from Channel 4. It launched on 9 September 2011 with an hour and a half-long special launch show, the day after the final of ''Celebrity Big Brother 8''. It was hosted by Brian Dowling, the winner of ''Big Brother 2'' and ''Ultimate Big Brother''. Brian Dowling (presenter)
Brian Patrick Robert Dowling (born 13 June 1978) is an Irish television presenter. He rose to fame after winning the second series of reality series '' Big Brother'', and went on to win ''Ultimate Big Brother'' in 2010. In 2007, he came third in ''Hell's Kitchen'' and in 2008, he was runner-up in the Irish reality television series '' Fáilte Towers''. Dowling then guest-presented ''Live from Studio Five'' alongside Kate Walsh from 2010 until its cancellation in February 2011. On 22 July 2011, it was confirmed that Dowling would become the new host of ''Big Brother'' upon its transfer to Channel 5, replacing Davina McCall. "When Love Takes Over" is a song by French record producer David Guetta with vocals by American singer Kelly Rowland, from Guetta's fourth studio album, '' One Love''. It was released as the lead single from the album on 21 April 2009 by Virgin Records (EMI France). The song was conceived when Guetta played the instrumental version during one of his DJ sets in summer 2008; American recording artist Kelly Rowland, who fell in love with the track, convinced Guetta to allow her to take it so that she could write and record vocals for it. It was co-written by Nervo. According to Rowland, the song inspired her to pursue a more dance-oriented sound for her album '' Here I Am'' (2011), while Guetta noted "When Love Takes Over" for providing the framework for his future musical explorations and inspiring him to experiment with more urban sounds.
