''Be Real'' ''with JR Digs'' was a 13-part Canadian reality television series which premiered on September 20, 2006, on TVtropolis. It was produced by Mountain Road Productions. The premise of the show was "turning regular people's ordinary lives into their very own reality TV show". The series was cancelled after 13 episodes. Synopsis The show was described as host J.R. Digs "playing mentor" to young filmmakers. Seeminlgy random people were chosen to be a "reality TV star" and accompaingend on a regular day. According to the production company, there were no plans, no scripts and no pre-production before filming. The Gemini Awards were awards given by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television between 1986–2011 to recognize the achievements of Canada's television industry. The Gemini Awards are analogous to the Emmy Awards given in the United States and the BAFTA Television Awards in the United Kingdom.
