Bangladeshis are one of the largest immigrant populations in Italy. According to Bangladeshi government officials, as of 2017, there were approximately 400,000 Bangladeshis living in Italy. In 2019, the Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policies (Italy), Ministry of Labour and Social Policies put the number of Bangladeshis regularly residing in Italy at 145,707-200,000. Bangladesh–Italy relations are the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Italy. Bangladesh maintains its embassy in Rome while Italy has an embassy in Dhaka. Phaim Bhuiyan
Mohammad Phaim Bhuiyan (, ; born 31 October 1995) is an Italian actor, producer and filmmaker. Early life and education Bhuiyan was born in Rome from parents of Bangladeshi origin and grew up in the Torpignattara district. He attended IPS Virginia Woolf high-school in Circonvallazione Casilina, Rome. After high school, he attended Istituto Europeo di Design with a scholarship. Career Bhuiyan directed, produced, written and acted on the film ''Bangla'' which was awarded the Globo d'oro as best first work with the Nastro d'argento for the best comedy of the 2019. ''Bangla La serie'' is an Italian comedy romance television series created for RaiPlay by Emanuele Scaringi, who wrote the script along with Phaim Bhuiyan and Vanessa Picciarelli. Scaringi directed the series, along with Phaim Bhuiyan, the latter of whom directed the prequel film ''Bangla''. The series was produced by Laura Paolucci and Domenico Procacci of Fandango along with Rai Fiction. ''Bangla'' is a 2019 Italian film directed by '' Phaim Bhuyian''. The film premiered at the 2019 International Film Festival Rotterdam. This movie gets the director, Phaim Bhuyian '' David di Donatello Award'' for Best New Director in 2020.
