The Bangladesh national cricket team played three One Day International (ODI) matches in Australia in 2008, under the captaincy of Mohammad Ashraful. The Australians, captained by Michael Clarke, comfortably swept the series 3–0. The series was during the southern Australian winter, therefore the matches were played in northern Australia at Marrara Oval, Darwin. Mohammad Ashraful
Mohammad Ashraful ( bn, মোহাম্মদ আশরাফুল; born 7 July 1984) is a Bangladeshi cricketer, who has represented the Bangladesh national cricket team, captaining the team in all formats of the game. A top-order batsman with a penchant for flashy stroke-play, Ashraful became the youngest cricketer to make a hundred in Test cricket, on his debut as a 17 year old in 2001, against Sri Lanka. Between 2007 and 2009, Ashraful captained his country in 13 Tests, and 38 One Day Internationals (ODIs) of which Bangladesh won eight. Michael William Hill (born 29 September 1988) is an Australian cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and a right arm medium bowler. Stuart William Rudd (born 8 June 1969) is an Australian songwriter/bass guitar player of rock band, The Superjesus. Jonathan Mark Holland (born 29 May 1987) is an Australian cricketer. He is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler and a right-handed tail-end batsman. James Redfern Hopes (born 24 October 1978) is an Australian cricket coach and former cricketer. Hopes played domestic cricket for Queensland, and had represented Australia in One Day International and Twenty20 International cricket from 2005 to 2010. Abdur Razzak ( bn, আব্দুর রাজ্জাক; born 15 June 1982) is a Bangladeshi former cricketer who played in all formats of the game. Abdur is the first Bangladeshi to take 200 wickets in ODIs.
