''Bang Bang Bang'' is the eleventh studio album of German band Bad Boys Blue. It was released on 20 June 1996 by Intercord. The record includes two singles: "Hold You in My Arms" and "Anywhere". Bonus tracks "Don’t Be So Shy" and "Family Beat" were already featured in the US edition of the previous album, ''To Blue Horizons''. Background The band became a trio again as Irmo Russel (born 15 March 1956 in Aruba, Caribbean Sea) joined the group in 1995, who in addition to stepping into Bannister's shoes was instrumental in revitalizing the group's creative potential, by becoming a composer, video director, and occasionally assuming the role of lead singer on some of the tracks. Bad Boys Blue
Bad Boys Blue are the German pop group formed in Cologne in 1984. The group performed many international hits including "You're a Woman", " Pretty Young Girl", " I Wanna Hear Your Heartbeat", and "Come Back and Stay". The group became massively popular in Eastern Europe, South America, and South Africa, with the band performing to sell-out crowds in Russia and Ukraine. In contrast, the group never charted in the UK, and their only charting U.S. singles were "Save Your Love" and "I Totally Miss You" (1993) which became successful chart hits. ''To Blue Horizons'' is the tenth studio album by German band Bad Boys Blue. It was released on 26 March 1994 by Intercord. Three singles were also released. The record includes two international hits: "Go Go (Love Overload)" and "Luv 4 U". Background On this record, the band left its long-time label Coconut Records and producers Tony Hendrik and Karin Hartmann. As Trevor Bannister retired from the band, Bad Boys Blue became a duo again. John McInerney performed ten songs, and Andrew Thomas one. The US edition of this album includes two additional songs "Don’t Be So Shy" and "Family Beat". These songs were later featured in the band's next album '' Bang Bang Bang''. John McInerney
John Edward McInerney (born 7 September 1957 in Liverpool, United Kingdom) is a British singer, songwriter, and the frontman of German band Bad Boys Blue. He is the only band member from the original line-up of the group still performing. Early years John McInerney was born in Liverpool, England in 1957. He was interested in music since his childhood and once even appeared on British television performing "She Loves You" by the Beatles. McInerney's mother Agnes died when he was four and a half years old, leaving him and his younger brother to be brought up by their grandmother. When he was 15 years old, he played in the junior team of a local football club. Having graduated from school, McInerney worked as a stockbroker, and in 1979 he decided to move to Germany. He married in 1985 and has two sons, Ryan Nathan (born in 1989) and Wayne (born in 1992), and one daughter. He owns several pubs in Cologne. Grant Stevens (born 27 October 1953 in Walcha, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian singer and lyricist who has been based in Germany since the 1970s. He left his homeland in the 1970s for London, where he recorded various albums and singles for his bands The Soho Jets and Razar, produced by The Who producer Kit Lambert. From 1981 to 1984 he worked as singer in the German band Nervous Germans. He recorded the German hit " Everlasting Friends", which was used as a TV jingle for Holsten Pilsener in Europe. In 1999, together with Der Graf and José Alvarez-Brill (Wolfsheim, Joachim Witt, De/Vision) the foundation for Unheilig was laid. The single "Sage Ja!" was released on Bloodline Records in 1999, shot straight into the German DAC charts and became a club smash. In February 2001, the debut album ''Phosphor'' came on to the European market again on Bloodline/Connected Music.
