Baeksang Arts Awards
The Baeksang Arts Awards (), also known as the Paeksang Arts Awards, are awards for excellence in film, television and theatre in South Korea. The awards were first introduced in 1965 by Chang Key-young, the founder of the Hankook Ilbo newspaper, whose pen name was "Baeksang". It was established for the development of Korean popular culture and art and for enhancing the morale of artists. They are regarded as one of the most prestigious entertainment awards in South Korea. Baeksang Arts Awards are annually presented at a ceremony organised by Ilgan Sports and JTBC Plus, affiliates of JoongAng Ilbo, usually in the second quarter of each year, in Seoul. It is the only comprehensive awards ceremony in the country, recognising excellence in film, television and theatre. The 50th Baeksang Arts Awards () ceremony, organised by ''Ilgan Sports'', took place on May 27, 2014, at Grand Peace Hall, Kyung Hee University, Seoul, beginning at 6:20 p.m. KST. The ceremony was televised live in South Korea by JTBC and was hosted by Shin Dong-yup and Kim Ah-joong. The nominations were announced on April 27, 2014, through the official website. ''Law of the Jungle'' () is a South Korean reality- documentary show that airs on SBS. Each episode features celebrities sent to survive in remote locations around the world. The show was first aired on October 21, 2011. The show's 300th episode aired in 2018. History South Korean comedian Kim Byung-man created the ''Kim Byung-man's Law of the Jungle ( ko, 김병만의 정글의 법칙)'' in 2011. On the show, celebrities, including actors and K-pop artists, join him in remote locations around the world to experience living in the wild. Park Seong-ho (; born March 14, 1974) is a veteran South Korean comedian. He is best known as a comedian in KBS' ''Gag Concert'' and has participated in many variety shows.
