Brady Martin
Brady Martin (born March 16, 2007) is a Canadian junior ice hockey centre for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He was selected fifth overall by the Nashville Predators in the 2025 NHL entry draft. Playing career On April 21, 2023, Martin was drafted third overall by the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection. On May 23, 2023, he signed with the Greyhounds. During the 2023–24 season, in his rookie season, he recorded ten goals and 18 assists in 52 regular season games. On September 27, 2024, he was named an alternate captain for the 2024–25 season. During his sophomore season, he recorded 33 goals and 39 assists in 57 regular season games. The 2023 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge was an ice hockey tournament that was held in Charlottetown and Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada from November 2 to 11, 2023. Penalty (ice Hockey)
A penalty in ice hockey is a punishment for an infringement of the rules. Most penalties are enforced by sending the offending player to a penalty box for a set number of minutes. During the penalty the player may not participate in play. The offending team may not replace the player on the ice (although there are some exceptions, such as fighting), leaving them short handed, short-handed as opposed to full strength. In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the Puck (sports)#In ice hockey, puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the Goal (ice hockey), goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal. There can be a maximum of two assists per goal. In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. IIHF World U18 Championship
The IIHF U18 World Championship is an annual event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation for national under-18 ice hockey teams from around the world. The tournament is usually played in April and is organized according to a system similar to the Ice Hockey World Championships and the IIHF World Junior Championship. The tournament was first held in 1999.
