John Otway
John Otway (born 2 October 1952) is an English guitarist and singer-songwriter who has built a cult audience through extensive touring. Biography Early life Otway was born in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. From the age of nine all he ever wanted to be was a pop star. 1970s and 1980s Although his first single, "Gypsy"/"Misty Mountain" was released in 1972, Otway gained wider recognition riding the wave of punk rock and his unique performance on ''The Old Grey Whistle Test''. His sixth single, the half-spoken love song "Really Free" reached number 27 in the UK singles chart in 1977. It would be his greatest success for some time. The song earned him a five-album deal with Polydor Records, who viewed him as a punk rather than merely an eccentric. His first album, recorded with Wild Willy Barrett, was produced by Pete Townshend but sold only fitfully. Angelique Pettyjohn
Angelique Pettyjohn (born Dorothy Lee Perrins; March 11, 1943 – February 14, 1992) was an American actress and burlesque queen. She appeared as the drill thrall Shahna in the '' Star Trek: The Original Series'' episode "The Gamesters of Triskelion". Acting career Pettyjohn was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her first credited film appearances were in 1967 under the name Angelique. They include ''The Touch of Her Flesh'' and ''The Love Rebellion''. Her big break came that same year in the Elvis Presley film '' Clambake''. Jo Hyun-soo (; born September 29, 1993), better known by his stage name twlv (, pronounced "twelve"), is a South Korean singer-songwriter and record producer. He began his music career by uploading songs onto music sharing website SoundCloud and collaborating with rapper Superbee. twlv released his solo mini-album ''Contents ½'' in 2018 and competed on SBS TV's survival program ''The Fan''. ''Serious Fun'' is the fourth album by power pop/ new wave band the Knack released by Charisma Records on January 16, 1991. It was their fourth record; a comeback after a decade-long separation. It was accompanied by a public reunion and tour. Although the album did not achieve either commercial or critical success, it resulted in the hit single "Rocket O' Love," which reached number 9 in '' Billboard's'' Mainstream Rock Chart. Overview The album was released by Charisma Records on January 16, 1991. Musician Don Was, a member of the group Was (Not Was), produced the album. He was a friend of Knack frontman Doug Fieger since high school. ''Colours'' is the third studio album by Spanish duo Baccara, first released on label RCA-Victor in Germany in 1979. It contains European single releases "Body Talk"/"By 1999" and "Ay Ay Sailor". The rights to the RCA-Victor back catalogue are currently held by Sony BMG Music Entertainment – the original ''Colours'' album in its entirety remains unreleased on compact disc. However, all tracks from the album do appear on the German 30th anniversary box set. "Body Talk"/"By 1999" was released as a 'Special limited edition' 12' single featuring remixed extended versions of both tracks released in Germany. Baccara
Baccara was a Spanish female vocal duo formed in 1977 by Spanish artists Mayte Mateos (born 7 February 1951) and María Mendiola (4 April 1952 – 11 September 2021). The duo rapidly achieved international success with their debut single " Yes Sir, I Can Boogie", which reached number one across much of Europe and became the best-selling single of all time by a female duo, eventually selling more than 16 million copies worldwide. A successful follow-up single (" Sorry, I'm a Lady") and European tour led to a number of album releases, numerous television appearances and the duo's selection to represent Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest 1978. Despite a substantial following in Spain, Germany and Japan, by 1981 their blend of disco, pop and Spanish folk music was no longer fashionable, and by 1983 Mateos and Mendiola were both working on solo projects. ''Cool Kids'' is the second studio album by American hard rock band Kix. Released in 1983 on Atlantic Records, it is the only Kix album to feature Brad Divens of Wrathchild America and Souls at Zero on guitar. Background ''Cool Kids'' reached position No.177 on the ''Billboard'' charts. It showcased a slightly more commercial side of the band. In addition, it started the trend of including material written by outside songwriters, which then continued on their following studio albums. "Body Talk" was the first single to be released off of the album and one of the album's three cover songs. First released as "(She Talks) Body Talk" on the 1981 '' Body Talk Muzik'' album by Nick Gilder (earlier of "Hot Child in the City" fame), and co-written by Gilder and his longtime musical associate, Jamie Herndon, this song was believed to have been included on ''Cool Kids'' to appease the group's label.
