Buckingham Palace
Buckingham Palace () is a royal official residence, residence in London, and the administrative headquarters of the monarch of the United Kingdom. Located in the City of Westminster, the palace is often at the centre of state occasions and royal hospitality. It has been a focal point for the British people at times of national rejoicing and mourning. Originally known as Buckingham House, the building at the core of today's palace was a large townhouse (Great Britain), townhouse built for the John Sheffield, 1st Duke of Buckingham and Normanby, Duke of Buckingham and Normanby in 1703 on a site that had been in private ownership for at least 150 years. It was acquired by George III in 1761 as a private residence for Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Queen Charlotte and became known as The Queen's House. Blake House, also known as Newington, Royal Pines, and Joseph B. Pyatt House, is a historic home located at Arden, Buncombe County, North Carolina. It was built about 1850, and is a two-story, double pile stone house in the Gothic Revival style. The main block is five bays wide and has a hipped roof. The center hall plan interior features Greek Revival-influenced interior finishes. A rear ell was added in 1907. Chairman Blake House
Chairman Blake House is a historic private home located at Davidson, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built about 1860, and is a -story, five-bay, double pile Greek Revival style frame dwelling with a one-story rear ell. It has steep side gable roof, four brick interior chimneys, and weatherboard sheathing. It features porches on the front and rear facades supported by Tuscan order columns. It was moved to its present location in October 2000. It was the home of Professor John Rennie Blake (1825–1900), who is believed to have occupied the house throughout his tenure at Davidson College, 1861–1885. Today, the home is privately owned. John Blake House
The John Blake House is located on Homestead Avenue ( NY 208) in Maybrook, New York, United States. It is a brick building from the late 18th century, one of the oldest houses in the village John Blake, a prominent local politician, built the house around an earlier log cabin. A wing was added in the mid-19th century, but it has not otherwise been altered. In 1984 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places as a well-preserved example of the kind of home built by settlers of English descent in the early years of the Federal style of American architecture. Building The one-and-a-half-story house sits on a lot with many trees shielding it from view. It is made of brick with a stone basement and topped with a gabled roof shingled in asphalt and pierced by two brick chimneys near the end walls. Blake House (Bentonville, Arkansas)
The Blake House was a historic house at 211 Southeast A Street in Bentonville, Arkansas. It was a two-story wood frame duplex, with entirely vernacular styling, except for a Craftsman-style porch (with tapered square columns set on stone piers) added in the 20th century. The house, estimated to have been built in the 1880s, was a remarkably well-preserved example of a once-numerous building type in the city. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. It has been demolished, and was delisted in 2018.
