Baumschulenweg–Neukölln Link Line
The Baumschulenweg–Neukölln link line is a railway line in southern Berlin. It connects the Ring line (''Ringbahn'') station of Neukölln via Köllnische Heide to Baumschulenweg on the Görlitz line. The line as originally designed only for freight but is now mainly used by Berlin S-Bahn trains. History Installation and electrification The line was built at ground level a single track between 1890 and 1896 and was opened on 8 June 1896. At first, it only served freight, connecting the Görlitz line with the southern Ring line. Beginning in 1910, two separate suburban tracks were laid north of the existing freight track. The entire line was rebuilt on an embankment with bridges over intersecting roads, including ''Kaiser-Friedrich-Strasse'' (now Sonnenallee) and ''Kiefholzstraße''. Berlin Ostkreuz station () (literally "Berlin East Cross") is a station on the Berlin S-Bahn suburban railway and the busiest interchange station in Berlin. It is in the former East Berlin district of Friedrichshain, now part of the borough of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. A smaller part of the station is in Rummelsburg, part of the borough of Lichtenberg. The station is a ''Turmbahnhof'' ("tower station", i.e., a two-level interchange) with the Berlin–Frankfurt (Oder) railway ("Lower Silesian–March Railway") and the Prussian Eastern Railway on the lower level and the Berlin Ringbahn on the upper level. Berlin-Schöneberg (in German Bahnhof Berlin-Schöneberg) is a railway station in the district of Schöneberg, in the city of Berlin, Germany. It is a two-level exchange station serving the Wannseebahn suburban and the Ringbahn circular lines of the Berlin S-Bahn, with the lower level serving the ''Wannseebahn'' and the upper level the ''Ringbahn''. The station lies just south of the ''Dominicusstraße'' and ''Sachsendamm'' streets, where local bus stops allow changing between S-Bahn and busses. Berlin-Westend Station
Westend is a railway station, station in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin. It is located on the Berlin Ringbahn, Ringbahn circle line, served by the S-Bahn lines , and . It is named after the Westend (Berlin), Westend locality, which is immediately adjacent to the station grounds. The entire station area was opened—as ''Charlottenburg-Westend''—in several stages from 15 November 1877, but it has since been reduced to an S-Bahn platform and a pair of long-distance tracks. The Berlin Northern Railway () is a 223-kilometre-long main line route, that runs from Berlin via Neustrelitz and Neubrandenburg to Stralsund on the Baltic Sea coast. Nowadays, long-distance and regional traffic on the Nordbahn is routed at Hohen Neuendorf onto the Berlin Outer Ring to the Karower Kreuz and on to Berlin Main Station or Berlin-Lichtenberg. The Berlin Stadtbahn is the historic east-west elevated railway of Berlin. It runs from Berlin Ostbahnhof station, Ostbahnhof in the east to Charlottenburg in the City West, west, connecting several of the most major sights of the German capital.
