Battalion of Saints was an American hardcore punk band from San Diego, California, that was founded in 1980. History The band went through numerous lineup changes before touring the United States and Canada from 1984–1985 with George Anthony, Chris Smith, James Cooper and Joey Wrecked (Maya). Half-way through the 1985 summer tour, the road manager Captain Scarlett (David Lloyd) replaced James Cooper on bass. The band officially broke up in 1985. Singer George Anthony re-formed the band in 1995 with Terry "Tezz" Roberts (veteran of British punk bands Discharge (band), Discharge, Broken Bones (band), Broken Bones, and U.K. Subs) and signed with Taang! Records, which reissued most of their material on the ''Death-R-Us'' CD. History Enigma Records launched as a division of Greenworld Distribution, an independent music importer/distributor, in 1981. Discharge are an English hardcore punk band formed in 1977 in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The band is known for influencing several sub-genres of extreme music and their songs have been covered by some of the biggest names in heavy metal and other genres. The musical sub-genre of D-beat is named after Discharge and the band's distinctive drumbeat. Broken Bones are an English hardcore punk band, formed in 1983 by Anthony "Bones" Roberts. He soon recruited his brother Terence "Tezz" Roberts. Bones and Tezz had previously played in the band Discharge. They took their influences from their time in Discharge as a basis for Broken Bones, but infused a faster and more "metal" influenced sound, helping evolve the genre known as crossover thrash.
