Asthenes Dorbignyi
The rusty-vented canastero (''Asthenes dorbignyi''), or creamy-breasted canastero, is a species of bird in the family Furnariidae. Taxonomy and systematics The rusty-vented canastero was originally described in the genus '' Bathmidura'' (a synonym for ''Pachyramphus''). There are two subspecies of the rusty-vented canastero recognized: ''consobrina'' of southwestern Bolivia, and ''dorbignyi'' of central Bolivia and northwestern Argentina. Many authorities still consider the dark-winged canastero as a subspecies of the rusty-vented canastero. Also, it is possible that rusty-vented canastero is not a member of the genus ''Asthenes'' at all, but instead belongs to the genus ''Phacellodomus''.J. V. A becard is a bird of the genus ''Pachyramphus'' in the family Tityridae. Taxonomy The genus ''Pachyramphus'' was introduced in 1839 by the English zoologist George Robert Gray in the volume on birds by John Gould that formed part of Charles Darwin's '' Zoology of the Voyage of H.M.S. ''Polylepis'' is a genus comprising 28 recognised shrub and tree species, that are endemic to the mid- and high-elevation regions of the tropical Andes. This group is unique in the rose family in that it is predominantly wind-pollinated. They are usually gnarled in shape, but in certain areas some trees are 15–20 m tall and have 2 m-thick trunks.
